  1. I'm down with an M&M reissue... I wouldn't buy another set, but having paid $400 for the pair I have and knowing that a reissue would be about that same price shipped makes me feel good that I basically broke even.

    DX VF-25G

Yeah, not really concerned with the markings... as long as the colors are straight, I'm set.

    DX VF-25G

It's not a matter of worrying about availability... I could get the parts for cheap now, stick a bit of paint on them, and have them ready for the 25G when it gets in this month. So... why not?

    DX VF-25G

At a discount price of $70, I went ahead and ordered an Alto Super Parts set to use with the 25G. Seriously, it only has minor color changes in 5 spots, so with a simple repaint on those sections, I've taken out the drama of waiting for yet another Bandai exclusive preorder sh*t storm for the "official" 25G colored parts. (High 5'ing self).
  5. I pre-ordered an extra set just to make that color scheme a reality...
  6. Haha, thanks for checking Chrono... I actually checked the other day too just before reading your post, and figured I could just switch the 1D backpack out entirely for the VT-1 pack so that the boosters would work.. or I might just stick my 1D's head onto the VT-1... so many ways to be ghetto about it, I need to just pick an option. lol
  7. Funny, but my only interest in getting either a 2nd VE-1 or VT-1 would be specifically for the super parts... I don't need a 2nd valk of either one, but I'd sure love to slap their backpacks and super parts onto other valks with similar colors.
  8. Thanks Chrono... it doesn't look hard to mod at all; I know that I'd have no use for the single seat parts if I buy 2 fp sets, so I'd just throw them together for my Virgin Road valk. As far as the VT-1 packs on the VF-1D, I've just been too lazy to pull those valks out of my case and try it... lol. But, I assumed it would work as long as the 1D's fins aren't folded down.. crap, I hope it works! Also, good thoughts on the 25G... Bandai's supply issues and their toys' quick jump in price shortly after release is making me hesitant. Still, I've got a bunch of house stuff and holiday things to consider, so something has to give... I just don't know what yet! haha
  9. Can anyone confirm if the single seater option parts set can be connected to form the two seater VF-1D style setup without modding? Or would that require gluing them together? Thanks in advance peeps... Honestly, these announcements have me stressing over my budget for the rest of the year! I might have to let a pre-order or two go, and it's looking like the VF-25G might be sacrificed for 2 FP's and the potential VT-1 reissue right now... I've been wanting to stick a VT-1 super parts set onto my VF-1D for a long time now, and a reissue would finally make that possible from a cost standpoint.
  10. There is... TV set is a lighter bluish color, DYRL is a darker greenish color. This announcement is too cool... at least 2 fp sets for custom work, but a pass on the ve-1 in favor of a possible vt-1 reissue and all the future mac f valks. My budget is Macrossed out! lol
  11. Wow, I didn't know it was impossible to appreciate both Robotech and Macross! It's a good thing I come to these forums to get straightened out by elitist fans! Pfft... whatever.
  12. Well... who knew the Japanese Jimmy Page was going to be rocking this thing. I can see your point after that.
  13. Haha... well, I think if we break it down into degrees of awesomeness, the TV SDF-1 and Glaug come out on top by a hair or two.
  14. Yamato has done the research and decided that making a TV SDF-1 or even a Glaug could never possibly have enough appeal among Macross fans to sell well and justify production. In the meantime, those same marketing geniuses just know THIS thing will be a massive hit and totally worth making: ... good looking out, Yamato. Pfft.
  15. Just arrived today: this nice, sparkling white SDF-1. Great condition except for one of the tiny antennae missing, but easy enough of a fix and the price was nice. No idea how I'm going to fit a cavalier in my 1/60 Yamato section now though...
