Man, I wouldn't even call the window of availability for this valk a release "date"... it seemed like it held "in stock" status for a total of 1 to 2 hours before turning into a scalper driven collectible. lol

Maybe they should create a "Would you buy this valk for one mode you really like despite loathing another?" poll... fighter mode is HOT. Battroid... not so much.

So badass looking... can't wait for my set to arrive. On another note, it always cracked me up how the red Vajra laughed off everything this armor threw at it in episode 1.

Looking forward to this armor set... mostly because it'll cover the gash in my 171's leg that resulted from having to force my malfunctioning leg pivot joint loose after it wouldn't unlock.

A month or two ago, someone had option part sets up for sale on Shapeways, but ordering them resulted in one of those "Shapeway can't fulfill this order because the part tolerances..." blah blah blah refund messages. If someone can nail the design, I'd imagine that'd be the only opportunity we're going to get to purchase these parts on their own.

I'll vote zero... truth be told, this is one valk that honestly does nothing for me in any of its modes (I know I'm alone on it, but man, battroid especially looks non-sensical). I'm stoked for all of you that were waiting on it though! Happy hunting...

Alrighty... went back and played with the hip bar again, and realized that the bar itself is a bit more stable after the "click", but the leg itself is the part swinging around a little freely. Guess all the hard wrenching on the hip ball joints finally loosened it.

Tried swinging the hip bars forward... and the only click I heard was the sound of the chest cockpit cover piece flying off. =P Actually, I think I heard a click on the right hip bar, but not the left, and the left is still a floppy mess. I pulled the hip bar forward with a good amount of force too trying to find that click, but I've decided I've had enough of excessively trying to force this valk to do anything after my knee swivel incident. Oh well... gave it a shot.

Looks like a very Banpresto'ish rendition of a 5000... 1/100 size valk for 18000 yen? Thats a definite hell no lol...

Hmm... I was joking more about how hard it'd be for the "in cartoon" manufacturer of this plane to sell their product given it's lot in life in the series, not Bandai's real world strategy for toy marketing. In any case, the 171 had a shot at being a little more badass, but emo hero pilot guy decided to eject rather than evade like a pro and save his plane (along with Macross Frontier tax payer dollars). I guess even in-universe, Bandai has no qualms about screwing with peoples' hard earned money...

With all the exploding 171's in frontier, they could advertise it as "the Ford Pinto of valkyries". lol

The only things that have bothered me about the vf-11's are the relatively bland paint schemes and stubbie fast packs, but if they ever do a Milia red scheme with super aerospace packs, I'm all in.
