    Macross figures

I pre-ordered one, I really like how dynamic this figure looks.
  2. Glad it closed, was almost temped to get a 4th.
  3. Yeah it's been a mad house around here lately. I made my single biggest Yamato purchase because of the news. Even though the value of my collection went through the roof, I am going to hold on to anything I don't have a duplicate of, just in case we never see the Yamato PT valks again. I really can't believe how fast the years have gone by though since Yamato moved on from the 1/48's. Hopefully we don't end up in the second dark age of Macross toy collecting. (when valks were 1k a piece)
  4. I'm all over a 25 CF scheme, I wonder if Bandai will do it? I would also like to see a Luca 171 because, I got a fever and the only prescription is more Rotodome.
  5. Honestly, I think it's just the popularity of the 171 is not as high as the other units from frontier. The alto one stuck around for a while, I think it is still obtainable if any one still wants one. Sucks, looking at the HLJ pre-order though.... I could have saved more, but was scared I would not get one if I waited. Seems like there is too much drama when trying to secure Bandai stock lol. It is what it is though..... Looks like HLJ will only allow 1x per customer.
  6. Honestly, knowing the price does not offend me at all. I know they have to scour the streets to get me the item I want, so I am willing to pay the markup if I have to. As far as the missing part, Bandai does want the whole toy back, so even if NY is able to work something out you will have to pay a huge shipping cost to send it back. I had to send back my YF-29 Alto due to the fin on the head being bent. USPS quoted me 90-100 USD so I used the discounted Fed-Ex rates I get at my job. Still costed about 55-60 bucks though .
  7. I paid when they sent the request. The trick is that I paid in USD. They reopened the pre-order before they requested payment, so I cancelled my other order and created a new one. I locked in the USD price when the USD-Yen ratio was good. I basically saved $100 and got Fed-Ex also. I avoided the transaction fees and the Paypal conversion fees. And if I am right the price was lower than the original pre-order I made on each unit. *EDIT* Yep, they were about $10.00 cheaper per unit which helped lower my total also. I don't know why the Fed-Ex option was the cheapest express option when I added them to the new order, it was cheaper than Registered Air and EMS.
  8. Oh damn, maybe I can score a 4-way when my 3 arrive I just checked on this too, I paid a while back and they yen was at about 98 per dollar so I can't complain.
  9. I scrounged the SP version up at MSRP with the help of a friend, still waiting for it to arrive. I skipped the VB-6 a couple years back, but felt like I had to have it. Ebay prices were too high imho.
  10. LOL, I would too If I did not have em all for the most part. I am missing the of the non cannon scheme YF-19's. I also skipped the weathering releases. I think I am OK with that though.
  11. When brand new and not on sale, the SV-51 went for $220 - $230 new on HLJ. I got mine on sale luckily, but if I really had to have one I would buy it at the retail price no problem. I don't see the argument about the SV-51 prices. As far as people paying 5x retail, more power to them. I am looking at the situation and feel like if the buyer is fine with the pricing how could I bitch. I don't really see it as scalping at this point. The VF-1J Millia was bid on, the collector felt it was worth the price to get one. I am glad I got all my 1/60 V2's as they were being released. Looking at the prices they are going for and me being a completionist when it comes to my valks, I wish I could find it in me to sell off my collection but I can't. I love these things,it would take these high prices or even higher to even get me to consider selling them off. Don't get upset at the auctions, the buyers drove up the price by bidding on the item until the time ran out.
  12. That would be hilarious, if Arcadia released a "Soul Of Yamato" line and it only included valks.

    Japan bound toys

When I got my YF-19 from HLJ years ago, it did not have the Big West license sticker applied. I got really paranoid, but figured either it had poor adhesive and fell off or the person at the factory forgot it. The toy itself is like any other YF-19 I have seen, so I just forgot about it and did not worry.
  14. Pretty sound advice I would say. I would suck to buy a valk of a character you hate lol. I do it anyways though as I love having the squad.
  15. They will not ban you. I cancelled a pre-order with no repercussions. They only cancel all of you other pre-orders if you don't pay when they send the payment request on a pre-order.
  16. LOL, seems you bring this up every other year.
  17. I'd have to say it was the Yamato SDF-1 it was like $400 the day it came out. Close behind would be the Project BM! Kaneda's bike. I got the Kaneda figure too at the same time, but the thread says single toy. I could not buy the bike without Kaneda .
  18. Thanks guys, I'll try it out next time. I'm guessing once they request payment, I will not be able to have them change it before I pay? Or do I have to do it before they request payment?
  19. I have noticed this can happen if you have stuff in your cart. If you cannot remove items from you cart, try logging out then back in.
  20. I hope so, I would prefer the grey color.
  21. Yeah, I got a bad case of Valkyria (as Sheryl would say)
  22. At least you guys even have stars..... I have a 0 star rating lol.
  23. Knowing Bandai's past history though with colors not being right, they may just leave them as is too.
  24. To me the bombs are Multi Dimensional Tits!
