Don't get me started on the 25S. I need one more and I will be happy. I know I can only hope that JPN fans will not like it or something, but it seems like all the DX toys are selling like hotcakes.

Of course, I would always choose the lower price if the dealer is reputable. If for some reason I miss it else where, then I try to get in on the early rounds of NY if possible. Some balk at MSRP though, I saw someone complain in the VF-25 Renewal thread that the price was too high @ MSRP. I think it's because of the Amiami price that is almost impossible to get for most. Also it turns out that they list them at Rakuten at the same time. So you are fighting for one pool of orders at 2 sites.

It will most likely be cheaper on release day. If I decide to get another, I may wait until then unless better options appear.

18 Left You got a point, but I do think of them as a proxy. They have found a very profitable niche, I can't blame them if people are willing to pay it. I can tell you this though, I had my friend search all around Japan for the VF-25F re issue and the brick and mortar stores with sites were just as high if not higher than NY after the initial 4PM window. 14 left at NY. Did Otacute ever open? I have not really been paying attention since I got mine on HLJ on the first night.

Gone! *Edit* weird they came back! 28 Left I don't really see it as a rip off on their part. They are buying up stock and marking it up for a profit. It lets others get one cheaper than the auction sites. I mean for all we know they could be paying high prices to begin with, then mark them up to get some profit. I doubt they would do it for free. 20 left! I think we need to remember that the MSRP on this valk was high to begin with. So I can see it going to $300 or so possibly.

I have seen pics of NY selling boxes with other stores price tags on the box. It's pretty safe to assume that that is what they are doing.

Yeah I am not sold on the idea of Toynami filling in the shoes of Yamato. I was never thrilled with anything they released.
