    Yeah the 29 has massive missiles even before you add the parts. You get 4x launchers on the legs 2x on the shoulders and 4x on the Super parts. That's a whopping 10x launchers.

    I personally like my freedom, maybe I got lucky with all of the metal builds I have. I actually thought the QC was somehow better on these than the DX Macross toys until I read that some had QC issues on them here in the forums. I like the metal builds so much that I even ordered the 00Riser even though I have the seven sword+Riser setup already. I figure I can display the seven sword and the 00 Riser version together. I still think its a shame that Bandai did not completely re release the Riser combo set with the seven sword gear, basically omitting the seven sword from the package.

    I threw in a pre-order at BBTS also, I happen to check my e-mail first thing this morning and BBTS sent me a notice that it was available. On Items like this it's actually not that bad in price due to the cheaper shipping. How much was it at Amiami? I would guess express shipping from Ami would be anywhere from the upper 20's to upper 30's.

    Got mine on Saturday, my left wing can barely stay up with these on. I did not notice this on my alto. How are you guys cleanly getting glue or nail polish in there?

    I love mine too, this past Sat I finally decided to put it in Repair III mode all my parts fit good. Did you get your replacement shoulder from BBTS?

    Hahaha, can't believe we are arguing over one of the most fugly stands ever. And when was the last time Yamato even gave us included stands? I have ever only gotten them with the YF-21 and all of the SV-51's. I can't remember any others, so I don't even expect one with this valk, but even if they do add it , it's ugly as sin and would not use it. *EDIT* Looked at it again, it's sorta kinda ok for flight posing to the left only. But I would not pay extra for one.

    ^^^ I would do this, because it will be kind of hard to try to get a replacement if you wait too long. I had to go through this with my Alto YF-29 30th reissue, took a bit of time, but I got back a unit without the " gimpy flipper" head fin. Like in the days of being Yamato'd, I am calling it Bandai'd. "Damn I got a Bandaid valk :("

    I lucked out and found a set for $100 last month. Still way more than I wanted to pay, but the cheapest I have seen by a long shot. If I was looking for a set of these I would just get them now, if the Alto parts are any indication of future pricing. The Alto version pricing could be due to the fact that it was a "Hero" valk though, so it's anyone's guess....

    Guys, the quality issues of the VF-171 CF are not isolated to NY at all. I was reading a few posts on Amazon Japan and they were also complaining about the quality of the finish on these. One reviewer actually mentioned that he thought it was "used". Honestly Bandai just seems to have lower standards than some of us would expect. I think they could have learned a thing or 2 from the "Later years of Yamato". Don't get me wrong, Yamato had it's problems in the past but I feel like they stepped it up before their demise. So the real question in my mind is: Would you be willing to pay more for a better QC on the Macross Product that Bandai sells? I have all of the Metal Gundam builds and I swear the QC is pretty f*cking good on those, although one member here on MW did have an isolated issue were one of the replaceable shoulder pauldrons did not fit on correctly. I almost wonder if the QC issues on the VF-171 are affecting sales in Japan hence the "Sales" that we are seeing on these. I mean most of the wings on the 171 look like they were slid across the ground LOL. My copies don't look as bad as some I have seen, but I also keep my house dimly lit as to avoid as much sun light as possible. Not to mention I should live in a dark cave some where that neutralizes all sunlight and only has shelving for valks.

    I have no clue, I thought the figure mfg's were all about the major boobage. I would not be surprised if they don't give us a Nana-san, but instead a Sheryl.

    That's the feeling I'm getting. I think it has something to do with the antenna/fin. Man these pictures have me so excited, can't wait have my Skull squad fully assembled. I plant to have skull together with Super Parts on the F G and RVF and armor on the S. Then I want a separate display with an armored Alto an Ozma, and possibly another Ozma naked and Super parted up.
