  1. That's such a great job you've done there, Chris!!! I love it! Thanks for sharing!
  2. Cool!
  3. Yes, it is, according to Yamato. Source: http://www.yamato-toys.com/items/detail.php?gid=1956
  4. Just checked my VF-19Kai and the markings are definitely tampo printing.
  5. Yes, it is able to have 'normal' arm configuration:
  6. Yamato’s announced we’re welcome to visit their offices this coming weekend to see and test their samples before release. Many of us won’t be able to do so but I guess some good pics and videos may follow. Source: http://www.yamato-toys.com/showroom/201111-2/index.html?infolnk=index_pickup
  7. I watched a couple of episodes and, as I didn’t get caught by the show, I just simply forgot to follow it…
  8. This is such a big pile of steaming crap! Though I have to say I think my eight-year-old little brother would enjoy this show…
  9. Sometimes I think everything on the internet sounds harsher than they are meant to be. That's why have so much flame wars
  10. If you think focusing on one mode means forgetting the others then I would recommend you just to start collecting model kits.
  11. When I started to find stuff of this sort: Robotech ZERO!!! OMG!!! NEW ROBOTECH!!! Robotech PLUS
  12. That’s called balance between modes and you, as a toy reviewer, should know that And I don’t think disparaging Yamato on these boards is a problem, it’s just that at the end of the day that gap you care so much about has proven not to be such a nuisance for most of people.
  13. It’s a matter of proportions. To avoid that gap the whole nose should be cylindrical in fighter mode which is certainly not according to the line art, where it’s fairly obvious that the front section is wider than the rear one, making it impossible to fit it in the chest plate. Besides, most of the good previous renditions of the YF/VF-19 –and I’m not including the Hi-metal- had that gap and I don’t remember anybody complaining about that. See these: Thanks actar.files.wordpress.com for the pic
  14. I don’t think that’s enough explanation but I really hope you’re right
  15. That’s exactly what I was going to say, except that Bandai actually included the white part in their painted prototype. Look at this: AFAIK, Graham has Yamato’s phone number, not Bandai’s.
  16. I agree, all the paint matching is a bit weird… Personally, I would’ve chosen a lighter less bluish colour for the underside parts. Just like the line art, actually…
  17. IMO it's the grain in the pic.
  18. IMO this is the most beautifully ever sculpted VF head
  19. These models are being exhibited at the Hasegawa’s 21th JMC (Joyful Modellers’ Convention) at the Tokyo Trade Centre Hamamatsucho Hall: Source: http://ga.sbcr.jp/mreport/018647/
  20. A new pic: Source: http://blog.yahoo.com/cybergundam/articles/204905/index

  22. Actually, not even the Yamato pilots are big enough IMO. At 1/60 scale, the figures should be 30mm long to represent a 1,80m tall man.
  23. Yeah, you've got a good point there...
  24. So what's this? http://www.bigbadtoy...577&mode=retail I bet there are better options anyway…
  25. Very cool, specially the Macross Op
