nonsense..... You still have the opportunity to truly capture what really happened during that confrontation between Hikaru and Quamzin! ....but it won't count unless both toys lose a limb!!!

LOL....Funny how the Doyusha 1/144 YF-19 still has more tampo printing than an Arcadia 1/60 YF-19!

Thanks guys! Yes, I forgot...it does have lighting built-in....I took pics with my cell phone so I could not get good low light pics.....maybe later when I find the rest of my Doyusha valks and add them to the deck.....

Same delay happened with the Silvie.....now they have a much better idea of demand (lower?)....so maybe the release dates for the Faerie and Nexx were probably pushed back due to needing the extra time to figure those production numbers out....maybe a lower production number for the SAP combos will help them sell-out and not become clearance fodder for the retailers?

So finally got around to checking out my Aviation Fighters 1/144 Admiral Kuznetsov Diorama Deck.... Posed various 1/144 scale stuff with it from Doyusha, Takatoku, and Century Wings......

Although easy to acquire, it's definitely the holy grail of DYRL books
-
Nice find, congrats! If you paid less than 100 USD you got a great deal.

Yup....it's "good enough"...thanks Bandai!
-
It'll be done in blue and red chrome....they already provided a tease....
-
Looking forward to how Tenjin will interpret them on the box cover, will he match the actual product's paint scheme and armor type? They basically are TV/DYRL hybrids, so it's all good.
-
Not sure about everyone else, but I am just referring to the paint job "scheme"...not the shade or hue of the red or blue....which can be open for interpretation or can vary depending on the viewing source as you point out....however, even on the crappiest bootlegs...you can tell there are no "white paint applications" on the armor or missile pods...so bandai is definitely taking some Arcadia-style liberties on the paint applications with these two.... Basically, the only canon scheme for TV-style Super VF-1J Max and Millia should look like this.....no white paint on any part of the armors or missile pods on the fast packs...the white on the Bandai HMR super Max/Millia VF-1J armor and missile parts should be grey....with that all said....these are still insta-buys!
-
Bandai went "Arcadia" on the Max and Millia colors ever since they released their recent 1/72 kits....now it looks like they gave Max the color treatment they gave their Millia.... I'd prefer the classic TV color schemes, but not that concerned.....I'll just accept them as how Max and Millia Super VF-1J's would have looked like after the events of DYRL.....

In terms of Macross......a foreseeable exit strategy
-
Also....can someone tell me which Japanese Macross event this image of Minmay comes from? I'm looking for a clean high-res image or the name of the event it came from to search for it on YJA.....thanks in advance...

With Bandai being in full Delta mode....I'm guessing the HMR line will be the "legacy" line (basically, any VF/mech not currently being televised) and DX will be for MacD and special one-offs (1/35 VF-1, 1/1800 or 1/3000 SDF-1, etc).... The only exception to this would be the DX Mac D VF-1....but I'm guessing (hoping) for a late appearance in a year or two....by then the HMR VF-1 SDFM/DYRL lineup should be more or less complete.....thus allowing Bandai not to shoot itself in the foot by releasing competing VF-1s in multiple scales that would be at very close price points.....1/35 VF-1 would be in a league of it's own....maybe $350-500 for the ultimate PT VF-1....if it ever gets made, it may actually just turn out to be a prototype to figure out the mechanics for their 1/60-ish DX version.....kind of like Yamato used the 1/48 to develop the 1/60 V2...except Bandai may just skip the actual retail release of the 1/35 and go DX when ready.....
