  1. Lots of cool pics....but feels like just more of the same.... Gotta catch 'em all though!
  2. Guess the Bandai tactic of not including the AMM-1's will continue....but at least we can count on finally receiving proper red-tipped RMS-1's when the Super Packs are released!
  3. Here you go....in no particular order
  4. Variable Fighter Master File VF-1 Battroid Valkyrie book....by SB Creative
  5. Variable Fighter Master file VF-1 Battroid Valkyrie book....
  6. My Calibre Wings F-14 Type D came in....will open and post pics later
  7. Just received mine....will try and post some pics up later....
  8. Yeah.....I would imagine the great majority of fellow collectors do not have the display space. This is at best a proof of concept that got green lit instead of being sent back to get resized. I really do not expect this to go beyond a dozen varieties at most. This DX is probably just to squeeze Arcadia out of it's 1/60 VF-1 licence so Bandai can snatch it, switch to 1/60 and then keep it for as long as it wants. The object is to show collectors how Bandai can do it better, bigger and cheaper than the best attempt from Arcadia. You would have to think twice about buying another Arcadia VF-1....knowing that it is now obsolete and more expensive than the latest and greatest from Bandai. Plus think of how much a 1/60 will cost.... My guess is that Arcadia will give up the 1/60 license by next year or sooner....Bandai will grab it and sit on it while it finishes the HMR VF-1 variants. We will get a few more DX 1/48 VF-1's for 2-3 years...and get the 1/60 in time for the SDFM 40th Anniversary.
  9. No info yet....and probably not until end of the year or early next year. But I doubt Bandai will stop at just a VF-1J release.....guessing the following SDFM....Fokker, M&M, a brownie....then the DYRL Skull Squadron....possibly some websclusive along the way....would really like a VF-1D since we never received one from Yamato........maybe that could be the last 1/48 before they switch to 1/60....possibly
  10. TV hands apparently to be fixed-posed only....see pic for clown hands .... This release is "intended" to be a 100% SDFM TV release based on 1982 copyright being used....
  11. I'm still hoping for that one last 2018 HMR PO surprise ...maybe for August? Maybe a DYRL N-Ger to go up against the SuperO coming out next month?
  12. I think it just means this "first edition" will be the only release with a tampo printed fighter display stand and a fancy slip sleeve cover....if you look at the pic....later releases will probably just be the box without the extra stand box....very similar to what they did to the HMR -1S Fokker.....except this time everyone gets the stand that orders on July 27th ans it all fits neatly in one box.... ...the other comparable release would be the HM VF-1A Kakizaki...on that one, ordering the VF-1A Kaki also got you a fancy box to "store" your Skull Squadron
  13. At this point in the VF-1's PT Toy evolution, I think only the most hard-core collectors would be interested in any more 1/55 re-issues....any reissue now would be a blatant money grab fueled by a 100% notstalgic mental fog....with that said, I would be all in if anyone ever released an upscaled 1/55....and by upscaled, I would need for it to be full-blown Jumbo Machinder sized!
  14. Some of us will keep to the collector's code on this one!
  15. Just an acknowledgement of when and how the PT VF-1 journey started....36 years ago.......RESPECT!
  16. The only other precedent to this is the HMR Fokker -1S.....the initial PO opened up for about 5 days where you could get it with the special display stand, then the regular release w/o the special display stand opened up.....but that release was a websclusive for both editions...... So far this seems to just be one PO date and if you order it on the 27th, you get the special box and the special fighter mode stand.....let's hope this doesn't get screwed up somehow.... Maybe future 1/48 DX VF-1's will not include the special stand....just the regular stand?
  17. Assuming they are including the missiles (red-tipped?)....the only other accessories we know of so far are the clown hands, back pack antenna, intake covers, and side covers....is it possible there still might be some undisclosed option parts? I'm thinking HMR-style shortened wings attachment, Battroid Mode pilot seat, different angle head lasers.....magic hands?
  18. Possibly the elimination of the special fighter stand and box cover/sleeve available only wihen Pre-ordering on July 27th?
  19. Based on the HUD detail....looks like they went TV-style on the cockpit....could still be a hybrid version....need more pics....
  20. I'd buy one....until then I'm good for now.... I wonder if Bandai will make it a double extra Merry Xmas with one last HMR PO?
  21. You're good.....for now
  22. If by renewal you include a smaller scaled version of practically the same thing....probably high....
  23. Seems the antenna is not integrated. No mention of any extra options like the attachable seat thru the neck that was part of the Yamato options parts. Wonder if there are any other surprises?
  24. Seems like it does. Does anyone recall how the initial PO for the HMR Fokker that included the stand was handled? I think basically it was 2 separate PO dates....but not sure...
