    Yes, I know this....doesn't own the franchise...blah blah blah But Macross without Kawamori is something we have only experienced with Macross II....Hopefully, he will still be involved for years to come and has been mentoring someone else on the ways of Macross, like Lucas did with Filoni...and we all know what happened to Star Wars when Lucas was taken out completely... Maybe that is the same problem with Macross.....it just needs a shot of Kawamori and not the entire bottle!

    So I guess he is may be letting bygones be bygones.....smart move....now let us pray that he gets pulled into the "anticipated" "Robotech" planning by Sony....with more Macross and less Robotech! His involvement would give it much needed street cred...

    If this agreement has nothing to do with the status of Macross merch (namely toys, books and other misc collectibles) outside of Japan...then it just seems like status quo for me. I already have all the BD decently subbed bootlegs of all of the Macross shows and movies...there is no way I would ever pay real money for "legit" M7, MF or MDelta subbed or dubbed releases...one viewing was more than enough and some video pirate already got my cash! lol.... So I am truly hoping that Macross merch sales outside of Japan are indeed being facilitated somehow by this new agreement between HG and BW...otherwise there is nothing to see here...

    "....also confirms that Bigwest will not oppose the Japanese release of an anticipated upcoming live-action Robotech film".... Is this movie further along than we thought? This statement almost sounds like it is a sure thing.....

    Macross without Kawamori is Macross II.... But then again...it is also Macross Delta.... I wonder if we can at least now get a decent US BD release of the SDFM series and DYRL w/o the FB2012 bits?

    I wonder if Shoji Kawamori is ready to let bygones be bygones.....based on interviews he doesn't even like to address the hackjob they did to his work via Robotech.....guess money talks!
