  1. Here's a nice view of the silhouette from the top. See you in the next Ace Combat.
  2. What the official videos don't reveal:
  3. I also wouldn't want to see "ACCESS GRANTED" in 400pt letters on my screen everytime I log in... edit: Now that I think about it, it would be cool to have the screen go red and read "PURGE" when you empty the trashcan.
  4. "If you like this title, we also recommend... Boa vs. Python (2004) (TV)."
  5. Judging from the behind-the-scenes videos, Zeldana really did a great job there, but according to the Cinefex article, the animators also had to work their asses off to bring the performance to the digital character. The facial capture technology still delivers only the most basic pointers. The innovation in this production were helmet-mounted capture cameras, allowing to record the facial performance in the scene instead of having the actors repeat their acting standing still before the capture camera. But the animators also heavily relied on witness cameras installed around the set and manually reconstructed the expressions on the digital performers. So awarding the actor would mean neglecting the work of the animators.
  6. I also noted that due to the "computer assistance" the actors were remarkably better than the standard Hollywood actors.
  7. Not that the idea of killing someone using arm-sized centipedes was brilliant to begin with...
  8. New picture of the green 27 here: http://a248.e.akamai.net/f/248/37952/1h/im.../digitamin_cf05
  9. Not all of them are post-apocalytic in a strict sense, but there's a lot to discover in the list Top 50 Dystopian Movies Not on the list, but personal favourites are "Stalker" and the experimantal "La Jetée". "La Jetée" is told entirely with b/w still photographs, with haunting music at the appropiate places. Gilliam's "Twelve Monkeys" is a re-telling of the story.
  10. I was too distracted by her ass.
  11. "We can [access the most guarded secret EVARR!!/escape] through this air shaft."
  12. I got the Avatar Cinefex issue today and will work my way though the FX technobabble over the weekend.
  13. They did, as mentioned above, but most important in this regard is the 1/48 mockup of the VF-25 that was shown at last year's Shizuoka.
  14. Q-Reas & 1/48 Messiah plz.
  15. Congratulations for finishing this beast, it looks like a real challenge. Good choice of colors, too.
  16. You could cut out the green part from the cockpit decal and use it on the transparent canopy. Dalong has his review of the 27 up: http://www.dalong.net/review/etc/mf10/mf10_p.htm Here's good photo of the crew: http://www.dalong.net/review/etc/mf10/p/mf10_126.jpg
  17. After seeing her concert, I'm convinced that the genetic engineering of the Avatars was used 60 years ago to create Grace Jones.
  18. "The shaft leads directly to the reactor system. A precise hit will start a chain reaction which should destroy the station."
  19. What I expect from the DVD is to give us some 30 minutes that have been cut from the theatrical release.
