Looks like someone had had fun during production. @ warhammer I think what everyone is trying to say is that Robotech lacks the key elements that remain the same and make it stand out as Robotech. You brought out Star Trek. Star Trek has the same key elements through out its long film history. Even if its not the enterprise you still by the elements scattered through such as Starfleet, vulcans, photon torpedo, red shirt, guy who always flips over the railing. Proculture doesn't count b/c it changes meaning through out the series. At first it comes off as sex, then energy of life, then finally star ship fuel.At one point Gobal ask Exedor if the zentradi are decendants of protoculture. So which is it? What vf5ss is saying is that other fans have been buying the same three items(Valkyries,Rpg books,RT.com) re-packaged over and over again. They don't have giant robots in them but there good. IGPX season 1 &2 Linebarrels of Iron - Has Giant robots people dying and then coming back to life and a Love Trapezoid. Zegapian - like a watered down macross. G Gundam - Due to the fact it has the old kung fu flick aura going for it. Mars daybreak- a good "filler" series. Heat Guy J Chobits- your wife may like this one more. honorable mention: SpeedGrapher- Its pure cracked out but unique story. Not for children.

Heck i read those articles and they confused me. I think I would have done better if I looked up the actual court case ruling. Also if you type in Macross there site will not show all information about the legal issues. I had to type in Big West just to find any more information. I feel their site is little overrated and to say for the elitist fans. But mainly to promote the popular company sponsored shows. So chances are that HG has some sort of control on what gets posted. One site I found said that BW owns the character designs while Tatsunoko holds production rights. And everything else is up in the air. on the subject of memo aka Captain Capslock... That would be nice. Bandai did it with Gurren Lagann b/c it took so long for it to be dubbed and released. Let's take it a step further and make the DVDs region free with subs in various languages. I highly doubt its more expensive to get an Japanese to English translator and some English major from overseas . Then for the Big titles (Bleach, DB,DBZ,One Piece,FMA) look into actual voice acting for that region. I think the lack of merchandise to go along with the release of a series on DVD is partially to blame(in the USA). IMO if you had a figure, poster, clothing etc. someone picked up b/c its cool and neat. There is a possibility that someone could actually go "hey I have this *blank* I wonder what its based off of?" Say the laws get changed. That still won't stop someone from saying you need to pay for whatchamacallit for item J on form Q. I think anime black market never went away but just became more accepted. It it could be that creators are running out of ideas. There may be less people interested in anime. That and the age group its geared toward do not have the best taste in entertainment. Example: Twilight. (will add more later)

They may step in and improve story-lines and writing. I really want to see a comic movie by pixar. Morky and Mindy was on Nick at Nite for a while. Didn't watch it due to my interest at the time did not involve TV shows good writing and a unique an original story line. Now on the other hand I may give it a shot.
