  1. Very excited for this. Screw you, wallet!
  2. Already preordered. Thank fuc*k it ain't like a Bandai Macross toy preorder window Yes, now where's the red one?
  3. More Macross fans should have this view. Enough with anime pretty boys!
  4. Can't go wrong with Yamato, man. They haven't done me wrong yet at least. It's late here and I've got a funeral to attend tomorrow. Looks like I'll be refreshing HLJ when I wake up and probably all day tomorrow. This and the MGS Rex. What a fun couple days this is going to be for my wallet.
  5. Hahahah...deep breaths, buddy. Deep breaths. Maybe step away from the computer for a bit and come back.
  6. Oh man. Looks like I'll be constantly refreshing HLJ for the next few weeks. I'm usually not an early adopter but this looks very promising.
  7. I used to have nostalgia for the old Bandais. I owned a Jetfire as a kid and subsequently gave it away when I got older. I always knew then that it was from Macross and not truly a Transformers design. It was THE reason I had to have it. My father bought it for me one Christmas and I was ecstatic (we were poor back then and us kids rarely got anything for Christmas). It was well played with and loved and the arms eventually came loose with parts missing here and there. It always gets me when people talk of it like it was indestructable. Yes, it was durable to a point but ANYTHING played with that much will eventually give (some faster than others, of course). The arms had to be screwed back in a number of times by my father. Likewise, the armor was pretty flimsy and a few tabs broke on mine but I was a kid and didn't know how to really take care of anything fragile. Nowadays, I don't have that much nostalgia for it so I could take it or leave it. If I see a new one for a reasonable price, I might pick it up but I'm not pining for one like I did years ago. I'm not gonna go out of my way to get one on ebay. There's just much better looking stuff out there for me. I'd rather spend the money on the Yamatos because I'm older now (heading toward my mid 30s) and take good care of my stuff. I don't really care that the Bandais are more durable. They looked good for their time, but that time has passed for me. I'm more nostalgic for the design of the VF-1 than a certain rendition of it. To me the Yamatos are how I always pictured the Valks in my mind and I love them for it even though they aren't as durable. There's a speck of interest in the 1/55s and no more from me and I am old school. ...now if my father bought it for me, I'd be all over it.
  8. I'm liking that. Very encouraging. Do us all a favor you guys who already bought these...post pics if you can. The more feedback, the better for everyone.
  9. I just got my copy of Visual Book Vol 2 today and I'm still picking my jaw up off the ground after seeing all the beautiful battroid modes. If Yamato picked up the license for MtR, I would be in so much trouble. Man do I want a Nothung and a Zeak...
  10. I think I'm more annoyed by the fact that the guy couldn't be bothered to just explain what he's doing instead of playing a music track over everything and using hand gestures. I think it would have been much more informative but that's just me... Plus the music is totally out of place
  11. Nice! By the way does polyamide react with other plastics at all?
  12. I definitely want the Macross 7 Valks despite the fact that Macross 7 is at the bottom of the list of my favorite Macross series/movies. I seriously tried watching it very recently and could not get past episode 2. This was probably my third or fourth attempt trying to watch it and is the furthest I have ever gotten. As a Macross fan, I gotta get through it some time but it's so difficult. Just something about it totally turns me off. It really does feel like a chore to watch. I'll try again one day and get through it. It's supposed to get a lot better but just getting over that initial hump is killing me. Anyhow, I'm looking at the VF-19S as my first purchase followed by the VF-17S. I'll save Basara for after I've exhausted all other things Valk from Yamato or Bandai. I only hope the VF-17S will be re-released with the fast packs.
  13. I thought this was the Hikaru version? Am I wrong? Whichever it is, I am SO down for one
  14. I hope they release Michael with the Super Packs next but they are likely going to wait until after the Ozma and Alto Super Packs are released. I am so happy and relieved I only have the version 1 Full Armored Ozma. Picking up the new Ozma was like experiencing this line for the first time (DONE RIGHT, course!)
  15. Yeah, neither do I but I'd make exceptions here and there. Garage kit means I'll likely never get around to it
  16. I'm liking this one and will probably pick it up. They sure are taking their sweet time reissuing the DYRL VF-1S Focker with Strike Packs though. Maybe for the 30th of DYRL? Anyhow, bring on the more obscure schemes!
  17. Man, you can't just say that and not share...
  18. Currently it is my 1/60 VF-1S Low Viz Focker...it's all about the black and gold, baby. Yes, us Pittsburgh, PA natives refer to that scheme as black and GOLD...
  19. I love the VF-2ss. It's a realistic design to me..........uh, keep in mind I know almost nothing about aviation. I just likes me some pretty airplanes. I'm also a simple man to please sometimes.
  20. Suppose to be Ranka but the thing is so tiny you can use your imagination and pretend it is anyone you like
  21. Yes...this part is helping bring the fun back to these toys. That's more than enough for me. Can't wait to see the update video.
  22. Heads up, ladies and gentlemen, hlj confirmed both orders. I placed two in my sleep deprived panic so I am cancelling one. Hopefully one of you fine folk get the one I am cancelling.....as long as you ain't some dirty flipper/scalper.
  23. This thread is making me eye those original VF-1 releases I was always too scared to pick up. I'm looking at you, dyrl focker!
  24. I came home really late and dutifully checked like I've been doing since the announcement. I fear it might not have gone through though. I'm trying to get one before all the flippers do. I have no intention of selling the thing and I'll be damned to pay those prices on eBay.
  25. I put my order in at 3am last night so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Still no email as of this morning though. I was up late last night and caught it just in time. 15 minutes later they took it down
