  1. @Papa Rat - Here's the link to Amazon for the stand Amazon.com: Stand for Model Airplanes for Display Making and Painting,Model Building Berth jig,Tray for Part of 1/72, 1/48(Grey+Swivel Base) : Arts, Crafts & Sewing

Yes, it was a resin kit, my 2nd or 3rd, as I recall.  I started out really small with a one-piece kit from Captain America, the tiny little Zentradi scout ship.  From there I found about a 12 inch Super Star Destroyer which was only I think 2 parts along with the Zent flagship from a guy in Australia named Wayne Pugh who had some resin kits for sale on his website called Scale Solutions. It's still up but he no longer offers resin kits unfortunately!  Highly recommend you do some watching of YouTube tutorials and or seek advice from the master himself @tekering from here before taking on high dollar larger resin kits!  I think somewhere buried in the threads here I once typed up a basics "How To" guide for resin kits. Should still be in the forums somewhere, maybe I can dig it up.

    EDIT: - Found It!

  2. @Papa Rat - Thanks! It's been a GREAT kit!  (minus the ridiculously waaaay to thin decals) As you are on a Zentradi kick.....I've got something you're GOING to want to see later on, hahaha...It's BIG and green!  I got it years ago from a resin kit guy down in Australia...I'll post some pics this weekend. We just had flooring and painting done inside our house over the spring, so I'm just now getting around to carefully unpacking all my older kits and getting them back out on display with minimal snapped of little parts which I'm repairing as I go.....

    Stay Tuned!

  3. I've only got 3 1/6 Hot Toys figures, Vader ANH, Luke ROTJ, and the newest Vader ROTJ. I agree, they aren't perfect, BUT in the right lighting and pose, the new ROTJ Vader is definitely a great display piece! The pleather will crack and fade in time, but some of their newer stuff they are getting better with materials as well as the head sculpts are massively improving from the reviews I watch.  I would love to get Baylon, but I'm OUT of display space. 6" Black Series figs will have to do! 😂

  4. Another very simple solution I've been using lately (especially on modern kits with VERY tight tolerances), use Tamiya Extra Thin cement to "soften" the peg and especially the receiving hole for a few seconds. Like old Dad told me one time ....."a little lubrication helps everything son" - He wasn't wrong....😂

  5. Early Sunday AM decal session yesterday with the Academy F-15E with my furry little helper....😺.  So.....the very 1st "SJ" tail marking decal literally disintergrated upon application. I really DON'T like Cartograph decals...yeh there're nice and thin...to thin for my liking, and I've done a LOT of decals over the years. FYI, they DON'T like Micro-SOL!  STEAR CLEAR! Micro Set is just fine once you lay them down, but Micro Sol on the surface = ruined decals!  Anyway, after that everything went fine. Had to go online and track down an aftermarket sheet of Strike Eagle decals with that "SJ" tail marking out of Australia, so they'll be here eventually......Only about a million more microscopic stencil aircraft markings to go...

  6. It's the newer Academy 1/72 release #12550 "333rd Fighter Squadron" Great kit. Newer mold, everything fits 99% perfect.

In other news over the weekend I wanted to start my 1/72 Academy AH-64D Apache just for doing the cockpit. I wanted to do 3D cockpit decals and pilots, so Quinta Studios had the 3D decal set and good old PJ Productions had actual AH-64 pilots, so with a little hacking off of feet and other lower bits....🤣 Here's the finished product....Might add a little silver dry brushing but other than that, that's about as much as I'm willing to put into it at 1/72 scale!
