  1. "Man Doll"........................LOL, great phrase I'm also very surprised about these 1/100 VF-1 toys. Man, they really came in under the radar didn't they. Not sure if we really *need* (or want) yet another line of VF-1 toys though. It will be intersting to see if they are really a copy of the Banprestos or a completely original Toynami design. Still, they look fairly nice and if the reviews are good, I'll probably pick up a VF-1S just to pose with my 1/100 VB-6. Graham
  2. You'll find the people here generally helpful, friendly and extremely knowledgable about all things Macross. However, as a newbie it's always best to follow normal forum etiquette when joining a new board and be polite and use the search function before posting (or at least say you used the search function, but couldn't find what you wanted). A full list of does and don't can be found here. Enjoy your stay here. Oh, I'm guessing you got banned from the RT forum? Graham
  3. If Jesse is still too busy, I can take a shot at it. I've got some time for updates now. Just updated the main site today in fact. Graham
  4. You will probably make a better impression if you don't refer to the people here as 'dorks'. A friendly word of advice. Graham
  5. I've just updated the MW Custom Toy Gallery with 9 new custom toys, including the new 1/48 VF-1D customs (see pages 4 & 5 of the 1/48 gallery). Also, a couple of new custom Joke Machines have been added. If any custom toys you know of are still missing from the gallery, please let me know and I will get them added. Graham
  6. A DYRL-style VF-1 can carry in excess of 180 micro-missles. Five in each box-type missle rack, and two per wing/four per plane (120), plus another 30 in each Super pack for a grand total of 180. 368084[/snapback] Each wing-mounted UUM-7 pod hold 15 micro-missiles (not 5). So x 4 pods = 60 micro-missiles. The arm-mounted NP-AR-01 micro-missile launcher pods hold 3 micro-missiles each. So x 2 pods = 6 micro-missiles. The back-mounted HMMP-02 micro-missile launcher pods hold 20 micro-missiles each (not 30), that is if we assume the Yamato 1/48 toy is accurate. So 2 x 20 = 40 micro-missiles. The maximum number of micro-missiles for a Super Valkyrie would actually =106 micro-missiles. Graham
  7. Thanks, I did not know that. Graham
  8. I think there's an excellent chance the VF-0A will be made as it only requires a new head and color change, so the cost involved is not that great. For a VF-0D, though a lot of redesign and new tooling is required. I guess if the VF-0S sells well for Yamato, then they may consider doing the VF-0D. Graham
  9. I've just added a page on the 1/60 VF-0S to the main site. The release date for the toy is still scheduled for April 2006. I can confirm that the toy in Akihabara is NOT a final production version. It's a test shot from the molds to check if any parts need modifying, before production goes ahead. Graham
  10. I'm of the opposite oipnion. I feel the sequels add to the the epic feel of it all. Graham
  11. Was going to get 3 originally, but I'm changing that to 4 now. Graham
  12. Seen those before. Love her body, but I think they went way overboard on the make up in those shots, especially the eye make up. I much prefer how her face looks in BSG. Graham
  13. Heh, I would definitely like to poke-her (Grace Park). Graham
  14. No, no, no. You have the wrong idea. You'll never be able to sell that figure. You would have to pay somebody to take it. Graham
  15. I like it all. DYRL (9.5/10) Mac Plus (8.5/10) Mac 7 (8/10) Mac D7 (5/10) Mac Zero (7.5/10) SDF TV (7/10) FB2012 (6/10) Mac 2 (6/10) Graham
  16. I'm trying to find out what material the nose pitot tube is made of. Will post an answer when and if I get a reply. Graham
  17. Yes they are. Graham
  18. Not sure what the pitot tube is made of, but I'm guessing either PVC or POM. ABS or diecast would be too likely to break. From my understanding, the pitot tube is detachable, but it can also be left on the Valk and rotated 180º so that it is facing backwards under the nose. This way it can be kept on in Battroid mode, although there may be some interference with the T-Bar. Graham
  19. No, as already mentioned a few pages back, the pitot tube is a detachable part. Graham
  20. The Operation Stargazer mission (ep # 44). Gamlin kicking ass in a borrowed VF-11C (ep # 7) Mylene in a Bikini (ep # 7) Graham
  21. Nah, naked Boomer pics and a MKII toy is what I've been waiting for Graham
  22. Nice diorama masterqq, but IMO the VF-1 would look much better if the legs could be modified to have a spread leg stance. Graham
  23. If it was 1984 and 1/100 scale, it would have been by Imai, not Bandai. Imai made the 1/100 Tomahawk and Arii made the 1/72 Tomahawk in 1982-83. Bandai did not start with any Macross models until 1985. Graham
  24. It would be nice if we got some painted box art like Yamato did for their Votoms boxes, but I somehow doubt it. They seem addicted to using in-house Photo Shop for their Macross goodies. Graham
  25. Bear in mind that this catalogue was actually, printed in late 2005. At the time the catalogue went to the printers, the new releases for 2006, probably hadn't even been confirmed yet. I'm sure that we are going to get more new release from Hasegawa in 2006, not just the VF-0S battroid. Graham
