  1. You are forgetting: - VF-0D normal color (grey & white) VF-0B Space Proving Wing color (Hasegawa kit only, not in the OVA). I actually prefer the normal grey VF-0D to Shin's blue version. I have my Hasegawa VF-0D painted that way. Why did you write VF-0A Nora Fodder? Nora doesn't fly a VF-0A. Don't you mean Cannon Fodder? Graham
  2. Guys, I've got some more information on the 1/60 VF-0S from a very reliable source: - Some of this info we know already, but some is new. 1) Leg superparts are magnet attached to avoid ugly hole on the lower leg. (We know this already) 2) Rear landing gear has a lock function to prevent the gear from collapsing. 3) The rear landing gear shafts actually spread out when you open and lock the landing gear, just like on a real plane. 4) Sliding function added on the chest piece so that battroid torso looks shorter. 5) Cockpit seat can rotate. (we know this already). 6) Nose pitot tube is designed to be detachable, so that it will not be damaged during transformation. Graham
  3. ............and bomb and strafe them! Graham
  4. Yes, the rotating seat gimmick is confirmed. Graham
  5. I bet you guys that like Digimon also watch Teletubbies and Barney as well don't you? Graham
  6. Mine holds the grenade just fine. I've got a photo of it in one of the various GBP threads. Graham
  7. Heh, that's what my wife always says to me when she wants me to get off the couch and do some housework. Graham
  8. Guys. Here's some exclusive photos of the Garland prototype, courtesy of Yamato. Please note that the pilot figure will be included with the toy. Also, the Garland's eyepiece is actually blue, but due to the lighting, shows up green in these photos. Enjoy Click on thumbnails to enlarge: Whoops, just noticed the pics where already posted in smaller form above. Oh well, never mind. Graham
  9. The part in # 4 is the Valk's UHF/IFF antenna. It is supposed to be in (down), when in Battroid mode, to allow the backback to sit flush against the backplate. Graham
  10. Interesting site. Graham
  11. Guys, Here's some new line art of Hasegawa's upcoming 1/72 scale VF-0S Battroid kit featured in the new March 2006 issues of Dengeki Hobby magazine and Hobby Japan magazine. Note, the inclusion of same scale VF-1S Battroid line art, which really illustrates just how much bigger the VF-0 is compared to the VF-1. Dengeki Hobby magazine (click to enlarge) Hobby Japan magazine (click to enlarge) The Hasegawa VF-0S Battroid kit is scheduled for release in March 2006. AFAIK, the price has not been announced yet. Graham
  12. Guys, Here's the new photos of the Yamato 1/60 scale VF-0S toy from the March 2006 issues of Dengeki Hobby and Hobby Japan magazines, enjoy! Dengeki Hobby magazine (click thumbnail to enlarge) Hobby Japan magazine (click thumbnail to enlarge) Graham
  13. The Blue squadron has a more white finish, compared to the first release Joyride Viper which was overall grey. The Silver-Spar Squadron is white, but with very heavy weathering. Also has a Silver-Spur badge and kill markings. Graham
  14. As in the Strontium Dog from 2000AD? Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't he a character? 364673[/snapback] That's the one. Mutant bounty hunter Johnny Alpha. Graham
  15. Sadly, most people here will not get the Strontium Dog reference. Graham
  16. It looks like the feet can be pulled down further in Gerwalk mode, to allow them to be angled more forward. Graham
  17. The Joyride Studios Viper toy is the 1978 TOS version, not the new 2004 MKII. As of this moment, there is no MKII toy, just some resin garage kits. Graham
  18. The Bandai 1/65 scale DX VF-17D and VF-17S toys are extremely simple and quick to transform. They are also extremely rugged, despite having no diecast parts. They are probaby the toughest transforming Macross toys ever made. You would have to try very, very hard to break one. Articulation is fair, although the legs could benefit from a bit more articulation, especially the knees, which don't bend back, only forward (for Gerwalk mode). Detail is good, with the toy having a surprising amount of panel lines, far more than it's Bandai stablemate the VF-19Kai/VF-19S toy. The only downsides are that they look very chunky in fighter mode when viewed from the side, although the top-down view looks spot on. Battroid mode looks great IMO. The landing gear is terrible though, basically just fold down rectangular tabs of plastic with minimal detail. I own about a dozen of these toys, most first issue bought in 1995 and I love them to death. I wouldn't part with them. I definitely recommend you pick up one, or several Graham
  19. An OVA or series with Aegis Focker from VF-X2 as the main character, set in the 2050s would be pretty cool. Heck, they don't even have to design new mecha, I'd be just as happy seeing the VF-19A, VF-22, VF-17D, VA-3M and VB-6 get more screen time. Graham
  20. Hey, I resemble that remark! I was thinking of buying one of those Darth Vader voice changer masks. I've always wanted to sound like James Earl Jones. Graham
  21. Damn, my shop still doesn't have the mags in, which is very unusual. They usually get here on the 24th of every month and it's the 26th here in HK already. Oh well, have to wait at least one more day Graham
  22. Heh, there's like 1 kid in that photo, the rest all look like middle-age guys. That should tell Lucas something about who the real target audience for Star Wars is. Oh well, it's too late, eps I, II & III are all done. Perhaps if Lucas changes his mind and films eps VII, VIII & IX he'll film them for a more mature audience, rather than making what are mostly kiddy flicks. Graham
  23. [Homer Simpson] Mmmmmmm.......gummy pilots [/Homer Simpson] Graham
  24. Hopefully, can pick up the new Hobby Japan & Dengeki Hobby mags in about an hour and then post any new pics in about 2 hours time. Graham
