  1. This poll is now redundant, as for the next couple of years, it will be VF-19 variants. And **drum roll**, the next VF has already been decided on, it will be the VF-**. Graham
  2. Confused by various articles/posts I've read recently regarding the F-22. So does the F-22 actually have a working datalink or not? Graham
  3. I voted as follows: 1st choice = 1/72 VF-17D/S fighter mode with FAST Packs. 2nd choice = 1/72 VF-11B/C fighter mode with FAST packs. 3rd choice = 1/72 VF-4 fighter mode. Graham
  4. Very interested to know what exactly this is. Graham
  5. I have already discussed with Yamato several months ago having them put an MP3 player into the sound boosters. No word yet on if they will do it though. I will chase them. Graham

    Yamato 1/60 VF-X

No the vents are just printed on. Yes, it still transforms, if you remove the optional belly plate. Graham Sorry, no idea when the 'official' release date is. But I see somebody already answered that. Graham Bring a friend day. Graham
  7. I consider we have been in the true golden age of Macoss toys for the last 8 years or so already. And unfortunately, that golden age will probably draw to a close in the next 2-3 years. It's not up to Kawamori-san, who makes the toys for a new series/OVA. That depends which company wants to pay the most to Big West for the toy rights. In the case of Frontier, Bandai got the exclusive toy rights, as they were the main financial sponsor for the show. Graham
  8. Don't worry. IIRC, the sculpt had helmet off. I can check my photos when I go hom though to make sure. Graham
  9. Ah, OK, thanks. So an Emergency RAT, is not then a trained rodent, that runs on a treadmill, thus generating emergency power? Bummer! Graham
  10. I'll see your Python and raise you my S&W 629! But seriously, as much as I love revolvers, they are just a tad slow to reload when surrounded by Zombies, unless your name happens to be Jerry Miculek. Graham
  11. You do know that the .22 Long Rifle (.22LR) is a rimfire round, right? As is the .22 Magnum (.22 WMR). I have an inherent distrust of rimfires, for anything other than casual plinking. Graham
  12. Guys, I've been pushing Yamato for a standing Basara figure to be included. No word yet if it will be. Can I have some screen shots of what sort of bose you would like to see a standing Basara figure in, please. Graham
  13. From what I remember of handling the resin sculpt, when I got to borrow it and take it home for one night, I think there is a chest locking feature. The resin sculpt was really loose (as resin sculpts always are),so I'm not 100% sure though. The opening cockpit hatch and rotating pilot seat are really well implemented. That means in battroid mode, you can even look down into the cockpit and see Basara sitting the the right way round. Graham

    Yamato 1/60 VF-X

    Very cool. me enjoying. Graham
  15. Discussed a possible TV version with Yamato today on the phone and they would like to know whether people would only accept a 100% accurate TV version, or would be willing to accept the existing version, but in TV colors, but with all-new resculpted arms (Daedalus & Prometheus). If you want a 100% accurate TV version, it would require about a 90% all new sclulpt, which would be very expensive and which Yamato feels may not be profitable. However, if it is just a new arm sculpt and a color change , Yamato may be more open to this. What is everybody's feeling? Responses ASAP please. Graham
  16. What's an emergency RAT? Not familiar with that term. Graham
  17. Not a big fan of the Beretta 92/96. The grip shape doesn't fit my hand well and the DA/SA trigger transition does take longer to master than something with a consistent shot-to-shot trigger pull like a Glock or 1911. Also, they are not what I call 'heavy use' guns. IIRC, Beretta only guaruntees them for 3,000rds, which is fine if you are a causual shooter and only shoot a couple of boxes of ammo a year, but for serious shooters, you you can go through that amount of ammo in practice very quickly. Back when I was still shooting IPSC, some of our top club shooters, would burn through a thousand rounds in a day. We had more than a few Beretta locking blocks break on our club guns. Also, too many parts. They have over 60 parts IIRC. The more parts you have, the more there is to go break. That's why I prefer to stick with something like a Glock or S&W M&P. Only around half the number of parts and all parts are drop-in replacements, no fitting required. Anyway, back to The Walking Dead. I started watching episode 2 last night. It seems to deviate from then comic quite a bit, not saying that's bad, but as an avid reader of the comic, it did surprise me a bit. Still probably for the best that they don't keep it exactly the same, otherwise there would be no suspense for those of us that do read the comics. Wasn't able to finsh episode 2 last night. Only got about half way through, as the wife came home and asked me to turn it off, as it was too bloody for her. Graham
  18. Looks like it could be promising. Showed the trailer to my son and he's also keen to see this. Graham
  19. I loved Equilibrium. Great movie IMO. Ultraviolet, on the other hand, from the same director, I thought was pretty dire. Graham
  20. I've always thought .22LR would not be a good cartridge against zombies. Possibly not enough power to disrupt the brain (and no, the .22LR does not tend to bounce around inside the target much, you maybe thinking of certain types of .223/5.56mm ammo, which is a completely different kettle of fish). Also, .22LR being a rimfire round can have reliability issues especially in some semi-autos. My choice for a handgun would be a Glock 17 9mm pistol, with extended factory 19rd mags, Heinie iron sights, an M6X torch/laser combo and threaded barrel for a suppressor. That gives you a relatively compact, lightweight firearm, with lots of capacity, which is ultra-reliable and ultra-durable. But I'm a Glock armorer, former Glock distributor and used to shoot Glocks in IPSC, so I'm biased. For a long gun, it would probably be some sort of short barrelled .223 rifle (short for maneuving in confined spaces, but still able to make headshots out to 100 yards+), again fitted with a surpressor and probably an Aimpoint sight. Graham
  21. Scheduled to fly on an Emirates A380 next year. Should I be worried? Graham
  22. Can the two large beam guns fire through 360 degrees, especially, can they fire at targets to the rear? Do the wing-tip engine nacelles rotate during flight and while reversing thrust, hovering etc? I would have thought (hoped) that the Tornado back would have allowed a bit more maneuverability and speed compared with the Super Pack. Graham
  23. Oh great! A whole episode of R2-D2 and C3-PO shopping for fruit! Can this season sink any lower? OK, I understand this episode was setting the scene for next week's ep, but honestly, they could have easily compressed the events in this episode into 5-10 minutes, rather than stretching it out over a whole episode. Graham
  24. How does the Tornado pack handle? Graham
  25. My local Star Wars toy supplier (Freeway Toys), just got in part of the new wave of Clone Wars Figures yesterday. IIRC, they had:- CW30 R4-P17 CW31 Shaak Ti CW32 (young) Boba Fett CW34 Undead Geonosian CW35 Clone Trooper Draa CW37 Quinlan Vos CW38 Cato Parasitti I picked up Clone Trooper Draa and the Undead Geonosian, which is actually a very cool figure. Not much interest in the others. Graham
