    I'm very skeptical. This isn't getting any traction on the usual SW sites, and they haven't even announced any casting yet.

    Then why even call it 47 Ronin? Not sticking to the "ending" invalidates the power and meaning of the story.

    The nature of the story precludes the possibility of a sequel.

    The original doesn't even hold up for me for me anymore. In the right hands, a remake could quite easily prove to be a superior realization of the idea.

    I walked out of Highlander II about 25 min into it in the theater. To this day, it's the only movie I've ever walked out of early.
