  2. You're Welcome . Just helping other MW members who want an affordable price. Now only if the 1/48's...... . BTW people who put in an order...keep us informed of your purchase. I'm going to Hawaii in January...so if Toys & Joys gives you guys/gals any problems, I'll sock it to them !
  3. Mods if this isn't the appropriate place please move. Yamato 1/60 M&M super vf-1j
  4. Try putting one of your 1/48 yammies on display stands on a rotating one. Its niiiiiiiiiiiice ! BTW the rotating one is better used with a battery!
  5. Check out the Dealer announcements. Toynami is making bookends for their MPC's .
  6. I don't know if this belongs here but I think this place is appropriate . I was readind a post in another section of this forum (toys/yf-1r? head) and came across a reply from kanata67?: Hopefully when the alpha MPC is released and HG wants to export it to places of great demand they might lossen the choke hold on valk import to the states. My questions are do you guys/gals think if there is demand say in Japan, can HG export their alpha MPC line of toys internationally? Will Yamato?/HG? resolve their differences or agree on anything that will allow them to distribute their products worldwide? I'd like to see Yamato toys released here in the states so everyone here dosen't have to pay high prices.
  7. I WILL NOT PAY MOR THAN $50US FOR THE 1/60 HIKARU VF-1J GBP ARMOR BUNDLE . YOU HEAR ME YAMATO !
  8. Nice frame by frame story line Sam . I didn't know they all get along. Do you get any paint chips when you transform smokescreen?
  9. I have 5 ! max milia hikaru 1j super hikaru 1s jetfire
  10. If it does, its gonna be gone in a heartbeat !
  11. * SNIP * Here's what I'd do, buy 1 toy to play with for now. Once the toy depreciates in value, you can get a MISB version for much cheaper. As much as we love Yamato, hardly any of their toys increase in monetary value. LoneWolf is right. Most toys depreciate in value over time. At first, I was planning on buying two of each and keeping one MISB for resale value. Then I got my first 1/48 yammie for $80 shipped instead of buying one MISB for $135 shipped. I saved $55 and its the same yammie.
  12. Oh no . Not another MPC . Keep it away from me !
  13. With the 2nd wave of FP hitting stateside in a few weeks, this maybe the last production for this year. I hope they continue making the FP. I might have to adjust my order and get a few more just in case !
  14. On that note, what kind of case did you get? Price? Pictures? I'd be interested in something like that. I got a curio glass display case at a local consignment center for $300. Retail was a $1000. It was a steal. There was nothing wrong with it. I think the owner just wanted to get rid of it. I don't have pictures, but I can describe it: It looks like the front of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. It has 4 shelves. The shelves are 34 in wide, 16 in deep, and 18 in apart. I'm able to display most of my 1/60's on one shelf in battroid mode, gerwalk, and fighter. Two shelves are going to be reserved for my 1/48 yammies, and the fourth one will be for my bandai's.
  15. All of my macross stuff was until recently, MISB. Once my wife bought me a display case, there was no reason to keep them in their sealed boxes. They look so much better displayed.
  16. For those micro missiles, I use small pieces of paper. Cut out a small piece so it fits into where the missiles meet the missile rack. It holds pretty firmly .
  17. Good for you re: the Reserves. (And here's hoping you stay safe.) If I may suggest something--the firstplace you should be putting your money is paying off your CC debts. Even before the piggy bank. Even before the 401K. It all comes down to interest rates. Unless you've got an incredible rate on your credit cards, you're paying much higher interest on that debt than you're likely to earn in savings or investments. Dare I say it--you should pay off your CC bills even before you put any more money into hobbies. Just look at how much interest you pay in a year and how much your savings and disposable income (for the latter, read: money for hobbies) will increase if you get rid of that debt. Yup! Ewilen is right. Everyone here should pay off the CC debts. If you don't have any CC debts, bravo to you. These Macross valks will always be here. You may be spending more to get them in the future, but at least you're not paying interest up the a$$. Who knows maybe yamato will reissue their valks say 10, 20 years from now like the bandai reissues and prices for these valks should come down . Just look at the first run of 1/60 yammies and *ugh* MPC's.
  18. For me, NOTHING is keeping me from buying more. I've gotten all the 1/60's, all the released 1/48's (except for the hikaru vf-1a) and FP for each, and pre-ordered the hikaru vf-1j with FP. But, if and when Yamato releases the GBP armor, that will be it for me .
  19. I had a friend visit me just last week. After seeing my modest collection of Yamatos, he went out and spent $$$$$ up his a$$. He's getting 2 each of the 1/48's (current ones and pre-orders), 12 FP, all fast/strike pack equipped 1/60 yammies, the vt-1, ve-1, and a glass display case like mine. He's going to spend like $2500, I was told.
  20. The QC plagued roy is my first 1/48 so it has some sentimental value for me. I'm keeping it . As for the new and improved version, if you want to call it that (don't know for sure until someone actually gets it), I'm getting that one too !
  21. Concerning the 1/60's, why only hikaru and max???? I want the cf to go on sale so I can buy a few.
