That's Schwartz. I forgot his robot's name. Starts with a B. As for toys, none. My friend thinks they made a toy of him for Getter Robo Go, but he was only in the comic and not the toon, so that's impossible.

I just finished watching episodes three and four, and they are taking it in a direction different then the comics. And episode four hints at there being more to Getter Rays in this show, too. And you are kind of exagerating on the gore...

Keith, there are still plenty of Gunbuster DVDs up on Ebay. The thing I'm having trouble finding is Psybuster, Cybuster, Cybaster, or whatever the Hell you want to call it . I see on Import Anime that MI did a set. From what I hear, they don't include Enlgish subtitles, though. I don't know if that's just a few sets or the whole run, though.

About MI's logo in the picture you posted. MI ripped some DVD that came out that had a bunch of openings on them. There watermark appears on a few. Same thing led me to believe they did a Great Mazinger set. Anyways, yeah, I'm pissed too that they never seem to do classic shows much anymore. I mean, we occasionally get them, like Zambot 3 and Machine Robo, but not as much anymore. The two shows I just mentioned had HK sets released not to long ago. Hell, the AV rip I just bought of Machine Robo just came out. I think the major reason is the advent of R1 rips. That's where the money lies, so that's what they focus on. And that's unfortunately not what I buy . I too remember a time when these HK companies would just rip every DVD that came out in Japan, but that time has passed, I guess. AV, my favorite company, still seems to be doing older shows, but they have also began dabbing into the field of R1 rips (horribly, if I may add.). Now, you mentioned 70s stuff. There's a few problems with that. One, is sources. Most of the old school Super Robot stuff has no good ones. The reason Getter Robo and Mazinger Z were done is because of extremely easy to come by LDs. Zambot 3 was done because it had a DVD boxset released. But alot of the other shows many want to see, like Daitarn 3, Raideen, etc. etc. have no good sources, if any! I'm hoping these HK companies, especially AV, who do the best original sub jobs and enjoy doing the classics apparently, will rip the Great Mazinger and Getter Robo G sets. Now, something I wouldn't be surprised to see in the near future is Grendizer. Why they haven't done it yet, I don't know. It would be such a huge hit. There are subtitle scripts for the whole series available in dozens upon dozens of languages. Hell, the sources are overwhelming, too. There's the R2 sets, Italians sets, maybe more sets out there, too. It's all about what will and won't sell. Something I can almost guarentee we'll see real soon is an HK set of the original Cutey Honey series. The movie and new cartoon are coming out. The orignal series is getting a DVD release, if the boxet isn't out yet already. They'd be stupid not to rip that. Anyways, enough ranting. All I can say is that if you want to see more classic shows, you have to buy them. That's why R1 rips are the in thing now, because they sell like crazy. A few of my old favorite online stores and even shops I frequent in Los Angeles don't even bother with non-R1 rip stuff. But what can ya do? And there are TONS more classic shows on Hk DVD then therealfolkblues listed, but those were just off the top of his head. The HK DVD set of it is great. All the extras you could ever want. The Gaogaigar concert owned my ass like I was a cheap whore.

I caught an episode of this today (I don't usually watch TV.). Funny stuff. Like Kung Pow the series.

Finally others who see what Godannar is truly about. I want to vomit everytime someone calls it a Super Robot show. Oh, and Gaogaigar TV has the best ending of any toon I've ever seen. One of the few, if not the only time, I called an ending "perfect."

And once again, HK rip. Do fansubbers even try anymore?

Saw it yesterday. I was proven wrong! After seeing the first Kill Bill, I didn't think I could see anything queerer, but the second one proved me wrong!

Got it. All five cover variants, too Make sure you grab the comic if you plan on it! It's already sold out, and a second printing may or may not happen, so don't take chances! Anyways, it follows up after the first movie, albeit being bumped up to present day. So none of that PC garbage from the cartoon is in it. Ray still smokes .

Cartoon Network is airing SEED?

The HK sets of the movie have been out for a year. It comes with all the Mazinger cross over movies, all with English subtitles. I bought another later set that came with English AND Italian subs, so I'm good. I'm assuming these are HK rips too, seeing how they are becoming more popular (Godmars, Devilman, Gundam ZZ, Macross 7, etc. etc.).

Actually, I'm a fan of Gaiking, too. He was always one of my faves as a kid. I mean, he bites other robots with a giant skull on his chest. How is that not frakking cool?! And he's voiced by the same guy as Ryoma (who wasn't back then ?) so even more bonus points. Though I've only seen the show in Italian, I'm sure Akira did great as him . Gaiking is one of my current top murderers in Alpha 2.

Shin Getter Robo was made by Ken Ishikawa 15 years ago. Mazinkaiser was based on a one shot deal written by Go. Neo Gaiking is based on nothing. I smell another God Mazinger...

Can it System Change?

Yeah, Dawn of the Dead had way to many plot holes it wasn't even funny. But it was still pretty good, and I enjoyed it alot (not as much as the original, though.). And Maddox is funny. Not his site, which is crap, but the guy himself. He lives in his parents basement yet acts like the God of the world. Always makes me chuckle.

I saw an advance screening about a week ago. It's not as gory as the original (and by that, you don't see some guy get his intestines ripped out) but it has it's moments. The goriest part isn't till the end where... SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the dudes pretty much slices a girl in half with a chainsaw. END SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Check it out. Really tense flick.

Heh, looks like his friend though is crap outta luck Incredible picture though. When I saw it on the main page, I was pretty shocked. That guy has some major talent.
