  1. Thank God maybe now he'll stop being such a douchebag.
  2. Just got the VF-27, and Battle Frontier is unlocked along with the VF-27. You get both when you finish all normal Frontier missions, plus the two EX Frontier missions. To get the EX My Boyfriend is a Pilot and Sad Sniper, you must get at least an S rank in the normal versions of both levels first.
  3. I'm on the last Frontier Ex mission that unlocks the VF-27. It's so damn hard. You have to use Michael and his VF-25G to fight waves of vajra that do like 5x normal damage, then after that you fight Brera. I've made it to Brera twice and it's damn near impossible to do anything with the VF-25G If only I could bring the SDF-1, it's main cannon is so strong.
  4. L + R at the same time unlocks you from your target
  5. I'm using a plugin called Remotejoy lite. Since the fat psp doesn't have any tv out, I connect my psp to my laptop with remotejoy through usb, then I use my HDMI out on the laptop to connect to the tv, though it makes the graphics look like VF-X1 on the tv lol
  6. Fighter mode is like Gundam Battle flight forms with the barrel rolls, but I don't think the mobile suits could do loops like the macross fighters can. I quite like gerwalk mode, it's quite versatile with the shooting in one direction while flying in another (naturally, lol) The turn speed and radius is pretty slow and wide in fighter, but that's probably because my valk is still stock and none of the stats are tweaked yet. You can also keep your camera focused on your target with the L trigger while turning, just like the Gundam games. Since this is macross, you can give the d-pad a quick double tap down for a short gerwalk slowdown type maneuver. Also, if you have the sp to spare, you can use a special ranged attack to go gerwalk while you fire a salvo of missiles at your target and then back to fighter; it also has chest lasers! This is all with the VF-171, so it might be different for other fighters.
  7. Just got the iso. The first mission in the Frontier section has you flying a VF-171 battling vajra to Sheryl's "Don't Be Late". So much win . Pretty much the same controls as the Gundam Battle games. With default controls, the analog is used for: left/right for gerwalk, up for fighter, and down for battroid. Also, it has the wingman commands just like Gundam Battle Universe did. Still haven't played enough to take in the awesomeness, I gotta start over in chronological order at the SDF Macross section, I just had to jump into the Frontier section to try their valks . Looks like I'll be falling asleep in class tomorrow hehe. Edit: Here's how I get my psp fat to display on my tv. Needless to say, scaling the psp's screen up to something that big makes it look noticeably crappier =/
  8. Is it just me, or is the audio for Lunar's episode 25 out of sync with the video by 1 second?
  9. Agreed. Possibly the most epic 24 mins of anime I have ever witnessed
  10. Oh wow, the head actually faces towards the rear in fighter mode. Guess it's kind of hard for me to tell with the 3 frame transformation sequence in the anime
  11. Damn, I think I"ll get two Hope she comes with her lab coat as well.
  12. For those still having trouble playing MKV's using high res h264 video, I'd strongly suggest trying KMPlayer . I kept reading about it and finally tried it, and to me KMPlayer is greater than MPC and VLC combined. It's got a ton of options to optimize it's performance on slower machines. In the initial setup of KMPlayer, choose Performance (1GHz) for the preset, as well as Use Internal Decoders for decoder usage, and Small (60 C/L) for subtitle configuration. The player also has it's own built in decoders/codecs and can run independently without external codecs installed. Using internal decoders, song lyrics aren't positioned at the top in fancy karaoke fonts. They're at the bottom of the screen, but speech text is displayed above them in the same font. Kinda strange, but at least it isn't a jumbled mess like VLC. However you can get it to display correctly with fancy fonts just like in MPC (if MPC didn't lag all to hell) using the external sub module from CCCP, if it's already on your system. You can enable the external subs by right clicking on the player screen, then going Options>Preferences>Subtitle Processing>Multi-Sub/etc>Advanced tab> Then under the External Subtitle Module section, check the 'Enable' box and 'Render in real time' box. There might be some slight sub lag during playback, but it's a hell of alot better than MPC and VLC. Darn, this was kind of a long winded post, but I hope this helps you guys run the gg releases, as it did for me on both my single core pc and dual core laptop
  13. Ah, so you do still need a pandora battery to downgrade. When it was mentioned that it could be done purely through software I was a bit baffled, since I visit a couple psp sites every few days and I'm pretty sure the homebrew community would be shatting themselves if such a revolutionary downgrade method were ever to exist 2 years ago I had to endure seven months of Sony's crappy firmware cuz the first thing I did with my psp was upgrade the official firmware lol. Then the GTA save exploit came along and finally saved me after all that waiting. Alas, the simple days of using either GTA or Lumines to downgrade new, factory fresh firmware psp's is no more =/
  14. Word. I don't know how some people can run the gg releases magically smooth in MPC without any configuring, but I still can't get it to run without sync issues, both on my 2GHz single core pc and my 2GHZ dual core laptop. I even disabled the ffdshow h264 video decoder in cccp and installed CoreAVC 1.7, which greatly improves the sync in normal scenes, but once it gets to action scenes with lots of motion, everything starts getting out of sync. I just watch the gg releases with VLC now, granted the subs get jumbled and overlapped whenever there is singing and talking at the same time, but at least there aren't any sync issues like with MPC.
  15. Wow, they sure want to make you work hard to complete a set of these keychains with those darn gunmetal VF-25 variants. They must outnumber the regulars by like, 3 to 1. Out of the box of 10 I got from HLJ, 6 of them were gunmetals, I didn't even get a complete set lol. Here's what I got: VF-25 Alto (gunmetal) x3 VF-25 Ozma (gunmetal) x3 VF-25 Ozma x2 Sheryl x1 Ranka x1 I think I'll just buy a full set online
  16. Sweet mother of God! *runs to check email*
  17. Dunno if anyone has seen this yet, but colored versions of the trading figures
  18. Damn, that's sad about Mike Turner. I used to collect Fathom, then he got sick and the book pretty much stopped. I never really got back into it when it started up again.
  19. This game just got a whole lot more awesome. It's gonna surpass the Gundam Battle series in every way, I can't wait!
  20. I still haven't gotten around to watching Gurren Lagann, but isn't that version of Yoko around 13-14 years old as well?
  21. I'm still on 0093, and I went all B's as well. Guess it has something to do with the darker blue lol.
  22. I believe you could use the guard auto lock while in MA mode in chronicle. I like the wing man commands; pretty cool to have your buddy unleash an sp attack. The one thing I don't like is the damn auto sp attack skill when you're at 30% hp. Nothing like unleashing a big ass beam saber attack automatically while the enemy is on the other side of the map shooting you, lol.
  23. I haven't played online for 3 weeks and my weapon of choice has been nerfed? How has it changed? The shock n' shank while they're on the ground was my main move lol. Maybe I should update and see for myself; the Big Boss emblem will have to wait a while
