Oh I didnt know that existed, is it a conversion or full resin kit?

Full resin kit.  The casting quality is quite nice.  I have not paid attention to the garage kits market in years but I always wanted a 1/100 scale Wondwort.  Here are some pics of the completed model.  I can PM you a link to the shop I got if from is you like.

  2. I think it is a mix between new parts and the old kit, sort of a 1.5.  If it was brand new, they would probably give it a Revive moniker or something.  The new parts were molded as part of a P-Bandai build fighter's kit last year.  The hands are a dead giveaway.  Those look like the terrible hands the HGUC line had for first 50 kits or so.

If I use Manda for EMS, I usually get slapped with Customs on a few occasions and twice using SAL.

I paid close to roughly $40 CND Customs on the HMR Monster and close to $60 CND Customs on the DX YF-19 Full Set by using EMS on both orders.

Yep.. Us Canadians get hosed in Customs Fees.

I think something that helps is what they declare the item as.  I get dinged when they write "Collector's Item" but not when they write "Toys" or "Model Kits", at least when I use SAL shipping.  EMS is 50/50.  UPS and DHL are usually a-holes and charge you a "service fee" on top of the CBSA tax.

  4. This is the set I used.  I only got into the AoZ line late last year so i've only snapped a few kits together.  This sets works on the Hazel and variants.  The Gaplant hands look larger.  I have not tried the Woundwort kits yet, but the Hazen'athely is definitely a different size.

  5. Nope, this release is wrong as well.

As for fixing the modex, you only need 1 decal for the tail and the decal sheet looks like it includes modex's for all 4 models.  The are slanted to the appropriate side.

  6. More pictures, if anyone is interested

It looks like the included decals allow you to fix the modex issue (and screw up the other side while you are at it).  At least you have the choice...?

  7. Sentinel has announced a new line of plastic models, with the first release the Gurren Lagann.  Poseability and options look great.  Pre-painted chest and face included.

Available for pre-order from the usual suspects.  1st release July 2020.

    From their blog:

I participated as a staff member at the time of the original animation broadcast,

Based on an arrangement by Tetsu Amemiya (TRIGGER)

Designed by Chemical Attack Yoichi Sakamoto (FLAME TOYS).

    In the Priobot

With the same shape as "RIOBOT Glen Lagann",

    T-REX is redesigned for Prybot.

    Glenn mark represented three-dimensionally,

    Solid shape of each part,

Waist armor reminiscent of armor warriors ,

    Like "RIOBOT Glen Lagann"

The result is a plastic kit with a slightly different impression from the original design.

  8. If you plan on masking the parts in order not to paint everything, make sure you use good masking tape, like the ones made by Tamiya:

    https://www.amazon.com/s?k=tamiya+masking+tape&crid=3A73WBRAKY5U0&sprefix=tamiya+mask%2Caps%2C154&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_11

It comes in different widths and there is nothing more frustrating than removing masking tape and seeing paint bleed.  Probably cheaper at your local hobby store (always support local, even during a pandemic).

Also, make sure you have good ventilation and wear a particle mask.  Most spray paints are toxic so don't risk your health.  If you are looking for decals for markings there are a number of options online (these you can't get at your local hobby store).

I don't have the Yamato set, but most toys have a smooth, glossy finish.  You may want to consider using some high-grit sanding pads to rough up the surface.  Something like 1000 grit or higher so as not to damage the surface.  Roughing up the surface will help the paint adhere better.

  9. I was in Osaka last year around this time and one of the distributors had their garage door open and I saw piles of Bandai goods similar to this.  I was bummed I could not walk in and soak it all in.  Also saw a distributor with floor to ceiling gunpla stacked up.
