After seeing the review from anymoon.com, I decided not to the geth fast packs anymore due to the cracking syndrome of the Reaction Missile rack... Still, I love the Toynami 1/100 VFs. Only got the Max units though. Honestly, Bandai should try and make their VF-100's like these.

yup those are Maverick's photos. HLJ sells those Mechanical Chain Bases. I think there's a lot of variations, they look so well with Valkyries.

@jenius thanks, will check that link right now. @rusk yeah, they're pretty awesome for 20 bucks-worth. My only gripe is that those hole connections seem to crack easily, so transforming them isn't something I do a lot.

Can anyone describe or show me photos how the Fast Packs connect to the 1/100 Toynami VF-1's? I'm just wondering how is it connected to the backpack since I don't see any possible connection ports on it. I'm also concerned if the Fast Packs on the Battroid mode will be dependent on the backpack holding it since the backpack on the VF-1A is kinda loose.

I hope you can send me one unit here so I would buy a 1/48

So far in here many have sold off their v.1 1/60's for cheap prices and I was lucky to snag a 1A Max at a very good deal (my first and only Yamato VF so far). I think these are very special stuff though, I won't mind getting the 1J Max if I can.

Currently watching season 1 of Gundam 00. Just finished Macross 7 2 days ago. I do have mixed emotions with the show. While I love that Max and Miria is there, I somewhat disliked how repetitive each episode was for a long time.

I think Max's 1S only appeared with Strike Packs in Macross 7, in the "Minmay Story" where they were talking about the history of Max and Miria relationship. They had a short clip of Max's 1S fighting against the Q-Rau, this time in space. So we get to see a Strike Valkyrie 1S Max. While in DYRL the 1S was shown to have a black heat shield, I'm not sure if the Skull logos in the Strike Packs are black are blue since they were never shown and is probably left to fans. While I like the blue Skull logo on the Strike Packs more, I think black Skull logos also fit more if you want consistency with the heat shield color.
