  1. I haven't collected anything macross toy related since the days of Kevin with Valkyrie Exchange.. and Tam with TwinMoons... lol. With that said I just started really looking at toy prices and wow! Most go now for $200+ with some even climbing above $300. I specifically got out of this when prices started climbing above $150 and the Mrs. was giving me the stink eye for paying $$$ on toys.. So what's the deal? Are the new toys holding their values? very few older toys did.. save the limited runs (Low Viz 1/48?) I starting eyeing up the Arcadia 1/60 30th anniversary VF-1J... which may be my first Macross toy purchase in 10 years (lol) but not for $150 an up on the bay.. Just random thoughts here.. Rob
  2. Hey all, been a looooooooooooooooooooong time since I last posted anything.. This fella just arrived yesterday.. need to find her a spot in the house but for now some Pictures.. SDF Macross Pachislo.. Slot Machine... whatever.. I am actively looking for its brother the Pachinko Machine so PM me if you have a lead.. I am still kinda feeling it out.. Hit the Big Bonus pretty quickly, which then rolled me into a mode called Valkyrie Time... Hit the attack Bonus 3x so far... and no Kyun, Kyun mode yet... Vendor already installed POTS on the speakers for me so it wasn't crazy loud like my Eva Machine.. If Anyone has any info on game play hit me up... Rob
  3. I picked this up... then after trying to put together a gerwalk model.. I promptly put it back down.. might be abit before I try again Should probably google assembly tips.. lol
  4. Not sure about Fever Macross being crap.. sounds like ramble from someone who doesnt know any better. I have the Pachislo (Slot) version and its pretty entertaining. I have been hunting the Pachinko Version since last summer.. I played it @ AX 2014 and the same vendor had it setup @ Otakon ... liked it enough to keep an eye out for it.
  5. Greeting MWers... been forever and a day since I last posted here. While helping a friend move we stumbled across these little gems. My knowledge of orguss is pretty limited, but it dates back to the days of SDF Macross. Both appear to be legit, and appear to be complete, so I am looking for some information on them. I have already hit up the bay and prices seem to be all over the place, and usually I find the ARII models which from what I am reading are IMAI reissues, Unless I read otherwise, there is a good chance that neither of these has seen any daylight in 20+ years. So with that out of the way, I am looking for any info on these guys. Value if any? Rarity.. etc. etc. Thanks for the assist. Rob
  6. during co-op modes either Terrorist hunt, or normal campaign in co-op there are parts where something will trigger a sound effect, board, machine gun fire, anything and the sound will keep repeating like its stuck. Also if someone attempts to send a game invite and I am not within the game already the game will get stuck at the ESRB screen but everything else will load and connect I just cannot play. Haven't tried any single player yet, this game is like ghost recon where I hated single player squad shooters but multiplayer was a hoot.
  7. Add another one to the list. Nadesico ND001 - Stampeed Valkyrie I just got my system, and I noticed there was some heat buildup towards the rear on the bottom. I had an extra laptop cooling mat and have been using it and now there is no more heat buildup. Anyone else try this? As for online gaming, been mostly playing Rainbow Six Vegas and its extremely buggy. So much so that I have to reset that game at times in order to play. Rob
  8. I don't think the movie was crap, and I don't believe it was really good either. It was entertaining so as far as I see it achieved its goal. I could sit here and nitpick its flaws all day... not worth the time or effort. TF movie B- Rob
  9. David, I know just how you feel about the Grand Prix, I had a black 95 GTP coupe. It had the HUD and all the other trimmings to it at the time. Unfortunately due to age I had to let it go, never went back to the Grand Prix because I didn't like the redesigned styles. Plus they got rid of the coupe and only make a sedan and with the rising cost of gas I am glad I moved on. Now I am awaiting my 07 Civic SI coupe from the dealer. I am "supposedly" getting a build date of middle july but we will see. How you'll be able to point me out is that I will be the one person in an SI driving Normally, and not like a "tool" like every other SI I see driving around. So I shouldn't be hard to spot . Rob
  10. EXO, I'll get right on shipping them out to you....... or the checks in the mail or whatever Thanks, for the heads up guys. Rob
  11. Sup all. Looking to get some market prices on some items to see if they are worth parting with. 1/72 VF-19A VFX 2 "blue colored YF-19" 1/72 VF-11 Non fast pack non broken hips 1/60 VE-1 1/60 VT-1 1/60 GBP armor 1/60 Hikaru Super VF-1J 1/60 Max TV Super VF-1J 1/60 Millia TV Super VF-1J VB-6 Variable Koenig Monster (not sure what scale) 1/60 Max (DYRL) 1/60 Hikaru (DYRL) 1/60 Roy (DYRL) 1/60 Cannon Fodder 1/60 Cannon Fodder (TRU edition) All of them are still MISB and have been in storage with no sunlight yellowing This is just a research thread so I am not taking any offers currently. Thanks for any info you guys can provide. Rob
  12. I think its way too early to tell where this is going to go. As a fan of Eva I'll check it out but I am not going to jump on any bandwagons of either total support or total flame of it. On the other hand regardless of how bad or good these next 4 movies are I highly doubt it will change my overall view on Eva. If they are really bad I'll pretty much ignore them, if they are really good then it should let me enjoy the series even more. Pretty simple actually. Rob
  13. From what I have read the first 3 movies are supposed to expand on episodes or material already covered. The 4th is supposed to be completely new content. As for Lucas and Star Wars.... you can only watch guys play with glowsticks for so long before you realize it never was any good to begin with. Rob
  14. If its Voltron related, I probably have it, or had it at one time. The old Matchbox III set, or the Bootleg Go-Lion set. The Trendmasters Remake, and now the Toynami release. The Trendmasters set was literally a rerelease of the old Matchbox III Voltron, with pastel colors instead of the darker metallic shades, and these stupid metal tabs on the arms (Green & Red) besides that they are almost exactly the same. From what I have read the TM versions had some QC issues in regards to voltron literally falling apart, but just like its original you could beat someone silly with it. As for the Toynami voltron, I dunno its still sitting in its box, which might I add looks nice. Thats about it, I don't wanna break it and it will eventually end up like every other Toynami item I have ever purchased.... sold to someone else. If you can still find it get yourself a Knockoff Go-Lion set, this was the best of both worlds it had the heavy diecast, plus it wasnt neutered like the Matchbox verson was. Rob
  15. lol super shredder good call. Just an observation here, but what the hell are these things that they claim to be TF's? They look more like something out of BGC then Transformers. What happened to the old G1 styles where you could tell what they were prior to going to vehicle mode? Pardon my ignorance as a non TF fanboy but seriously what are they doing to these characters, am I wrong in assuming that most people going to see this movie (besides kids) will be adults who were fans back in the day? So far none of the characters in this movie have anything to do with their predecessors besides the color schemes. Your average movie goer who watches this out of fond childhood memories is going to be left going WTF!?!? like I just was doing before I stumbled across this thread. Rob I think we need a new option on the poll called WTF!?!?
  16. Its actually a pretty nice figure. The bike is actually mostly diecast and has some good detail. A friend of mine picked one up for about $80 from a convention about 3 months ago. lmk what your asking price is I might be interested. Rob
  17. Actually you'd probably get more enjoyment out of it, if it was a laxative. I have only seen the first 5 dvds so I can't comment on the end of the series, but the first 4 dvds the plot goes absolutely nowhere, and #5 gets mildly interesting. I would call this a NOIR clone but the problem is I liked NOIR, and this series is just blah. Rob
  18. Afterburner was hands down my favorite arcade game when I was growing up. I liked it so much I bought an Afterburner II upright. I had a sitdown but I was never able to find the parts I needed to get it working correctly so I sold it. Still amuses me with the cheesy 80's techno, and the topgun screenshots. Rob
  19. Well I can't honestly say I have ever seen a Hentai title. The closest I came to that was a screening of Kite, and that went along the lines of plot, plot, plot, PRON, plot, plot. And in the end I was left thinking WTF!?! and then I really started researching titles that people recommended before I watched them . Seriously though who cares what people think, they'll get over it. Rob
  20. I'm not sure if this supposed to be a serious thread or a joke, either way I am quite amused. I personally find it funny that anyone who visits this board can even judge someone else's hobby and come off sounding serious liks some of the prior posts. I mean seriously what is MW? its a place that people can get together and discuss an ANIME TV series from the early 80's, as well as all Toys and other merchandise. So the last time I checked "Toy" collecting wasn't a line to pick up chicks. Remember the line "People who live in glass houses, shouldn't throw stones." And guess what, I like Macross, I have a collection of Macross toys, and I am an Anime Fan. I don't need to justify it to anyone nor do I honestly value the opinions of people who mean nothing to me. But don't worry I'll try to find something "cool" to get into let me go ask Agent One he seems to be in the know. Rob otaku 4 life in the hiznouse
  21. I ended up catching the tail end of the macross panel, but I did see the DRYL Minmay Cosplayer. I actually thought this year was better then last year, primarily due to the fact that I was actually able to get into the panels I wanted to unlike last year. What I did find amusing though was that there was actually a line, to get into the line for the dealers room on Friday. I was also able to score some not yet released material thanks to a buddy of mine who works within the industry which is always a bonus. One thing I did notice was the complete lack of any 1/48 scale valks. HLJ had a variable monster going for the normal price of $130 which went pretty quickly. Also nobody had the valkyries artbook which was dissapointing. The one thing I noticed this year, was the number of booths selling Airsoft guns, and swords I think I counted about 9 or 10 different vendors. Rob
  22. I'll be there for at least some of the panel if not all. Rob
  23. I'm interested in 2 XXXL if available. Rob
  24. And we, like you Agent One are doing the same... Macross 7 at times sucked, and at times it got good. I wouldn't go as far to say it was G-gundam though, that was pretty harsh. I still don't get the total anger against it though there is alot worse in the way of anime out there. Rob
  25. Put me down for one as well 3x or largest size avail. Thanks Rob
