  1. Foot subassemblies are coming together. Im holding off on teh toes and side flaps until i get more of the monster together. Then i can adjust to fit a more dynamic pose. Some slight heating of resin is due for some parts as they dont quite fit the top of the foot. I also have the gun barrels mounted to their base.
  2. A resin strike valkyrie 1/72 scale from teh look of it.
  3. I recently recieved a box of resin bits. Kind of a grab box of sorts. After sorting through the parts i found there are 2 complete 1/100 VB6 Konig Monster kits in it. Apparently they are meant to be variable models. I am not a fan of variable kits HOWEVER i will be making both of them. One as a Gerwalk /monster and the other in the more rarely seen battroid. So keep an eye out this will be a slowish and kind of long build. The instructions i could get arent that clear. Fortunately there was a partially assembled 3rd one in the box but there arent enough parts to complete it or id have the thing in all 3 modes.
  4. Same reason i havent got one yet. Either full on strike build or nothing.
  5. Still waiting for someone to do an angel bird battroid...The paint scheme is supposed to look like the sailor girl outfits.
  6. If the parts are close enough size wise use the bandai bits to make a gerwalk out of the hase kit.
  7. Looks like they are printed in WSF. Try print in FUD to see the cad work shine
  8. wow this kit grew udders really fast and bandai is really milking it. Why couldnt the markings for the Roy version have been included in the initial release?
  9. Simply put there is no economic way to do the Macross or any components in this scale. The best way is to get the sheet styrene, make a frame and build it from the ground up the old fashioned way.
  10. Its not as much the fumes as teh acrylic paint particles floating in the air. Fumes dont help but either way your injesting some nasty stuff.
  11. warm water is the KEY to any decal application. It allows the decal to stretch and conform a bit more. Theres some youtube tutorials about using warm water and sometimes HOT water on a cloth to really get decals to go.
  12. its the old orange collection kit
  13. Been a while but this one is not dead either. I hadnt posted anything on it since i did the clear coat and began decals. This is where the elint stands now. Not too much left to do really. Lets see if i can mane this one a weekender..
  14. its pretty big for 1/25 actually. A bit bigger than your standard 1/25 car kit
  15. Id ratehr build teh Hasegawa kits myself...Anyone got a super/strike battroid kit they wont build?
  16. Okay okay...pushy aint ya! Just to warn you though i was NOT impressed by this kit.Short shot parts, flash and a general sloppy presentation from a company whi in the past has given us some pretty clean kits .
  17. Bump just to let you guys know im still around and to thank those who responded to this thread. I honestly couldnt remember if i had posted pics of it or not. There will also be something new and macross related back on my bench very soon
  18. The nose gear is too far back. It should be more forward by teh small antenna hanging down.. Theres also no launch hook on the nose gear and the other gear doors arent present. Also the front gear door is not placed at the right angle so it throws the whole thing off. The overall nose however is off looking in its shape yet i think it is closer to the animated ones seen in 82/83 than the ones we have become used to seeing in the latest series and video games. Those are closer to hasegawa in proportion.
  19. Im sure the Japanese market is saturated so they wont sell as well there. But im on the hunt for an affordable regular and STRIKE battroid from Hasegawa. No it isnt going to become a vader hands thing. But comparing the Bandai pilot to other brands including Hasegawa, Tamiya, and Monogram. The Bandai Pilot is HO scale (1/87) in size. One has to wonder how much larger the Hasegawa VF-25 will be once made.
  20. I wish Hasegawa would repop the crap out of the Battroids. The Bandai kit also looks too SMALL. Its 1/72 in name but it seems smaller than that to me. Especially the picture with the hand behind it. Their VF-25 kit suffers from the same smaller than 1/72 scale feeling. The pilot in that is TINY. Gimme a Hasegawa battroid any day now...
  21. The Chaff /flare dispenser is located on the "backpack" it will be on the underside in fighter mode.
  22. Very nicely done Mike. Makes me want to revisit mine.
