  1. Very nice uparmored Hummer. Im doing something very similar to my 1/6 scale one. If you want more uparmored goodness Bronco models just released a new tool 1/35 M-1114 uparmored hmmwv. Blows away tamiyas new hummer from just a few years ago.
  2. Robb, why did i imagine you stamping your feet, turning circles and flailing your hands when i read that...
  3. The kit is available at starship modeler again! https://www.starshipmodeler.biz/shop/index.cfm/product/1446/mecha-rex.cfm#reviews
  4. Judging from the BIG scoops on the top of the fuselage its the ram air variant. That or they just sit too high. Look how flat the top of my kit is compared to the top of yours. Also the curved cockpit channel wall is more of a Raif variant which is what the Yukikaze Mave was while it was an AI controlled UCAV in the first episode. That version didnt last long though once Yukikaze downloaded into it. Heres an ortho straight from Bandai. The first is preproduction art. Note that the nose and the lobe arent connected and in the colored ortho they are. THeres a small sliver connecting the 2.
  5. Its the Platz 1/72 kit. Bad luke Bad. No more of my money lol....Id love to have one though just time and finances arent helping. I got my kit off a friend. That lower intake is more of a blending shield for the nose gear housing. The main intakes are next to the cockpit channel. I see your using the Ram Jet option that Yukikaze was equipped with in EP 4. Thats a better idea and gives you a better place for an intake.
  6. Paint and future on. Decals to start tomorrow.
  7. Yes Robb it may be at the contest on the first. Hell i may take it even if its not finished to tinker on it.
  8. B-503 Yukikaze Mission complete RTB
  9. I was thinking the same thing. Ill admit that the WII , PS2 and PSP versions are all basicall y the same port and very lacking compared to the visual spectacle that is the 360/PS3 version. I have the ultimate sith edition. I bought it around christmas and had people asking me where i had gotten some achievements. Little did i know that the extra DLC included on disc wasnt available to DL on XBL. I loved TFU. Its a great game that allows you to really do everything you wanted to do with the force since Dark forces 2.
  10. That looks very nice. You should consider doing up some DYRL weapons as well, you know its only a matter of time till hasegawa maked that variant. Also there were scenes in DYRL where the fighters were flying with full pods without fast packs.
  11. How much would a set of decals cost? Im thinking of stripping and refinishing my tomahawk.
  12. So...When is WMCheng going to do one?
  13. My wife and son go to sleep between 8 and 9 PM. My wife works early. My main model time is between 9 and midnight. Ill set up my progect and slip a movie into the 5.1 system with HDTV and build while i watch. It gets me 2-3 hours of build time and is a convenient timer for me. When the movie is over i clean up, shower and go to bed. Then im up at 8 or 9 and take care of household stuff before heading to work at about 1130. Its all about really setting out a schedule that you can work with.
  14. Could be troublesome. If the fastpacks are overscale or the airframe was mastered different in shape to what hasegawa is doing. This is a very real possibility. Could be more trouble than its worth. Id rather John mastered the stuff. Once he masters it and gets it close to sale Hasegawa will announce a fast pack set. Its the law of the model world.
  15. They are on the site here somewhere. Along with my resin 1/48 YF-19 ans YF-21.
  16. Except for the landing gear your wrong. The 2 i built came with parts for vanilla and strike /super mode. This includes shims for the legs to pose them correctly depending on the version you pick. Heck i took an old one apart and rebuilt it in fighter mode using the spare bits that came in the second kit i had. The 2 were built years apart so i lost the first kits fighter parts. You are correct that a "Fighter only" kit was released at a later date. After that the rest came with options for fighter or super.
  17. 1/72 Stuh 42 Ausf G with home made waffle zimmerit.
  18. search for my very first thread on here where i built the 1/160 monster. Decent scan of a perfect decal sheet in there.
  19. What about those of us who already have V1.0 If your going that far why not add a additional seperate back plate for the HWR MKI and the "hands" as an option. Then agan one of these things is hard enough to move around to start with. As much as id like it icant afford it at this time.
  20. Thanks man. Been going through a rough patch lately so alot of my model time is limited. The battroid is finished. I hope you like it.
  21. Sadly this will not be the case.
  22. SSM is working on it.
  23. Thanks guys. I just finished the decals last night and have a coat of future curing over them to seal them. I probably wont get to the wash till tomorrow. Thats fine though. It allows the future to cure well. The gunpod and other metallic parts were based in tamiya gunmetal then given a patchy coat of tamiya metallic grey over them. Sort of a metallic preshading. Then some good clear coats to seal it. Really makes it shine. Kindredd. Be prepared to so some putty and seam work on the 0S as well. Not that the kit is bad but it isnt one of hasegawas best. Mr surfacer 500 worked well on the seams for it.
  24. Couple years back i had worked on a VF-0S battroid with full weapons and booster load out. However it didnt like being moved. Well last year i managed to get another battroid kit. Im building this without the booster and weapons though. Dont have them. Wish i did as the battroid looked awesome decked out like that. Its mostly assembled here and going through decals. Still alot to apply. Im going to finish up my VF-0S fighter soon as well. Things are progressing nicely on this model. Some minor decal flubs on the legs but they are covered by the leg packs anyway. Enjoy.
