wm cheng Posted September 2, 2003 Posted September 2, 2003 Hey all, Well, here are the completed photos of the Mave from: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...t=ST&f=23&t=208 Hope you all enjoy (Sorry, the lighting still isn't the greatest - a bit dark)
wm cheng Posted September 2, 2003 Author Posted September 2, 2003 The missile launch arms are really detailed, and the wash really picks out the recesses - thanks for all the missile colour information.
wm cheng Posted September 2, 2003 Author Posted September 2, 2003 Walkaround... funny how the two tone green/grey blends under certain lighting conditions.
wm cheng Posted September 2, 2003 Author Posted September 2, 2003 Bottom with the centerline tank in place.
wm cheng Posted September 2, 2003 Author Posted September 2, 2003 I love that fact that all the underside stores and landing gears are removeable after construction!
wm cheng Posted September 2, 2003 Author Posted September 2, 2003 Even the missles come off the launch arms. Note the forward sensor array with the blue lenses.
wm cheng Posted September 2, 2003 Author Posted September 2, 2003 The forward landing gear hatch is snapped in place, there are little blunt ended pegs that also fill in the rear landing gear holes - but I didn't put them in here, I think they might be hard to remove after. Its kind of wierd that there is no rear gear well - its like this in all the line art as well as the resin kit - hmm, I guess the gear magically dissappears
wm cheng Posted September 2, 2003 Author Posted September 2, 2003 A shot from the borrowed coat hanger from the Supersylph
wm cheng Posted September 2, 2003 Author Posted September 2, 2003 Here's a size comparison with the 1/72 Hasegawa VF-1A
wm cheng Posted September 2, 2003 Author Posted September 2, 2003 Here's the family shot everyone asked for. The stuff on the top shelf is from when I was in high-school. Its only the stuff on the lower shelf that I started back up again in the last four years.
wm cheng Posted September 2, 2003 Author Posted September 2, 2003 Oh!! The sun is out, wow, what a difference the sun makes - there's no light like it. This is taken on a white foamcore board with the exposure set a one full stop over-exposure to try and get the background white so the grey/green reads true.
wm cheng Posted September 2, 2003 Author Posted September 2, 2003 Sorry for wasting your time with the previous posts with indoor indirect lighting.
wm cheng Posted September 2, 2003 Author Posted September 2, 2003 With enough light, everything is sharp.
wm cheng Posted September 2, 2003 Author Posted September 2, 2003 The metal gleams in the sunlight...
Grayson72 Posted September 2, 2003 Posted September 2, 2003 Looks really nice man, so how do you decide which panel lines to shade or do you do all of them?
Terrance Wong Posted September 2, 2003 Posted September 2, 2003 Likey! I like the first set of pics, too...almost like you're seeing it before a rainstorm hits, or on a really cloudy day. Which might explain the lighting, but...
