The new 'Horus Heresy' novels have been pretty good on the whole. Dan Abnett's Gaunt's Ghosts novels have always been entertaining. BTW, anyone have any cool WH40K wallpapers? I was looking for one that had the Imperial Double Eagle.

Is Peter like Ultra boy from the Legion of Superheroes in that he can only use one ability at a time? If so, he may have been turned away from Sylar because he saw what he was going to do and was trying to sneak away. If not, he could potentially used several abilities to counter Sylar in that fight. Great episode. I love this show!!

It is a fantastic book, and Nathaniel Fick, who wrote "One Bullet Away", an account of his war in afghanistan and Iraq cites it as how to write about warrior cuture. Just keek in mind, its not a history book, but rather a work of historical fiction. I highly recommend it, though.

Pressfield. Yeah, its a great book.

Not very historically accurate, neither was Gods and Generals. For me, about the best "historical fiction" movie made recently was "Master and Commander". As someone who studies history for a living, it was pretty well done. on the other end, the Patriot was atrocious.

I loved Hawkworld. Those characters, both now dead, were the better of the Hawk people.

Second issue is out today, great read. Almost as entertaining as the comic is the back up story. Very good. Check it out, lest you forget the face of your father, d'ya ken it?

I've had luck with the LFG tool. I honestly have no idea where the bad rap comes from, other than it sometimes takes forever to get a group together. Its cool though, theres usually something else to do in the meantime.

HOLY CRAP on tonight's episode. The season should be titled "How Jack got his groove back." Great episode.

Jeph Loeb's gonna be writing Ultimates Vol.3 for Marvel, as well as a Spidey project later on down the road with J. Scott Campbell. Hes done Superman/Batman and Supergirl for DC.This show reminds me not so much of RS, but more of an Indie book done by Brian Wood (now on DMZ, a great book, check it out) called Demo, about people getting powers. A great book out in trade now. My bad on the artist question. I haven't looked at them yet, so I assumed Sale's work on the show was on the web comics.

I am loving this series. Great stuff. The artist doing the online comics is Tim Sale, not MIchael Turner. Sale did the pencils for Batman: The Long Halloween, Batman: Dark Victory, A Superman for all Seasons and all of the Marvel "Color" books, such as Spiderman: Blue and Hulk: Gray.
