I remember when I started using the internet, around 2001 or 2002, back then it was an old 56k connection in my state.
When I discovered torrents, I went looking for some anime from my youth, like Voltes V and Arcadia of my Youth and others. That's when I discovered a site with the anime Galaxy Express, which I had only read about as something "on hold" in some anime magazines of the time, and after watching it a lot and spending almost a month downloading 3 episodes in the middle of the night, I fell in love with it, especially with Maetel.

An iconic voice, at least for me. It's sad to know she's gone, but at least she'll be eternally in the ocean of stars.

It’s a good show, but also an extreme downer. I could only watch one episode here and there because it would bring me down heavily and would have to listen to some music to get me in a better mood.

Great show, great character. She did a wonderful job.

 

What else has she... oh. She's in the Lunar 2 remake as Old Luna.

That hurts me more than it should.
