Another Idie SF flick with a hint of "Akira", very cool visuals, did anybody catch this?

Hmm, looks interesting, somewhat akira-esque, might be worth checking out. Of course if it is any good it might mean that a real, and good Akira live action could be made.

Oh yeah, this is on my radar. The trailer was phenomenal. Word of mouth has been good, but we'll see. Certainly something worth giving a chance.

For anyone truly interested The Signal had some real flashes of "good", and a few flashes of "you've got to be kidding me".

Taken as a whole, plus possessing one of "those" endings that leaves you shaking your head I'd just say temper some of those expectations when you see it.

Kaneda's Bike

Definitely have to see this for myself then. I adore plenty of films that have "one of those endings". While those endings are no guarantee of quality (believe me, I've seen enough to know) it does have a good shot of actually doing something interesting.
