Kylwell Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Specifically orthographic views of the Cat's Eye recon aircraft. Barring that I need some hi-rez images of the top, bottom & side of a built model so I can draw up orthographic views. Why I need to do this is still secret but no it doesn't involve a 1/48 model of it. It'd be best if they were taken with a telephoto lens to reduce perspective distortion as much as possible. Let me know if anybody has one they can shoot for me. Thanks
Mr March Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 (edited) I've not ever seen FULL orthographic drawings for the ES-11D Catseye Reconnaissance Craft, but there are profile/front schematic drawings of line art from the original series. A flatbed scan of this line art can be found at my website at this link (once you follow the link below, navigate to the "Line Art" section bottom right):http://www.macross2.net/m3/sdfmacross/catseye.htmEDIT: Thought I had some more scans of Catseye line art, but it turns out that was the Star Goose. I'll look later tonight for more stuff, but can't see any scans in my current folder. Edited February 5, 2014 by Mr March
Reïvaj Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Is that really a Catseye? Scale, cockpit and wings look so different....
sketchley Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Is that really a Catseye? Scale, cockpit and wings look so different.... That would be the mini-shuttle.
Chas Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Hey Rob. As far as i know the line art in the (corrected) link Mr. March posted is the closest Official line art that exists of the orthos for that vehicle. Maybe try contacting John to see if he has any that he drew up for his resin kit.
cobywan Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) Is it for the new Robotech miniatures game? https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rrpgt/robotech-rpg-tacticstm Edited February 7, 2014 by cobywan
Mr March Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 I looked through all my books and unfortunately there are no more drawings for the Catseye. If you need a larger version of the picture from my website let me know and I can post it.
Kylwell Posted February 7, 2014 Author Posted February 7, 2014 No I'll see if anybody has a built copy of John's and see if I can get some images from it.
Model-Junkie Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Perhaps the photos of the Cat's Eye built by PetarB will help
