Swooshiex Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Is the head of the Yamato 1/60 pilot figure supposed to be movable? Or is it supposed to be glued tight? Thank you!
Scyla Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 My VF-19S pilot seems to be one solid piece of flexible plastic. The others seem to be of the same type so they don't have any points of articulation. I assume you could turn the head with enough force due to the nature of the flexible material but you're clearly not supposed to to that. Don't do that because it will stress the material resulting in a headless pilot figure!
Mommar Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Unless you're going for headless in which case CRANK!
kyekye Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 If you're referring to the unpainted kit version which comes with separated head, I guess it's totally up to you. The neck joint, thou, is very short. So unless you want to rotate the head for different pose, but willing to deal with occasionally falling off head, glue it. If you have some tools and skill, you can add tiny ball joint and make full action!!
Duymon Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Easiest way to make the head movable is to just pin it with a pin-vise and paperclip. The paperclip will give it enough stability to stay on so you can turn it
