Hi guys,

built this a few weeks ago...just got round to taking pictures. Must say its a fun build. Great kit too, amazing technology for its time. Now to finish the VF-1s gerwalk in the background

That old kit is worth the bother, you did it justice. For something made 20 years ago. it still holds it own. :)

Looks like you did a great job on that kit! I've always liked it's proportions in all three modes, but especially Battroid. It really was an amazing kit for it's day.

That gerwalk is nice too. IMHO, the stock nose and hands are the only drawbacks to it.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Been a while since I built a glue kit and managing all the seamlines was an issue (really hate sanding!) Still, I cant avoid it nor can I accept too many obvious seams so its putty and paint all the way.

Maybe I will work on some Zero kits next...

Love the VF1S! My recent work on the CF1A after being poisoned by Kindredd.....only I was lazy and didn't bother about the seams ....

It just goes to show, ther's no school like the old school! The Imai kits were at the pinnacle of model engineering and still aren't shabby! - MT
