xPLAN303Ex Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Finally finished, my first Valk kit. Some mistakes here and there but overall it was a great learning experience for the next one. Public thank yous to Noyhauser and Capt Hungry for providing spare parts and decals, since I was careless. OOB, painted with Tamiya acrylics.
HWR MKII Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Excellent work. Looks like a good clean straight build.
Valkyrie addict Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 very nice...any plans for more valk building?
xPLAN303Ex Posted December 14, 2008 Author Posted December 14, 2008 Thanks guys. Yeah lots of plans, but I have to take a break from them, it was so much work it wore me out
Gabe Q Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 That's a super-clean build. I love the little seat belts. Great job!
edwin3060 Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Nice! I always like the super clean look... sometimes I prefer it over weathered! On the VF-1 it looks fantastic!
xPLAN303Ex Posted December 14, 2008 Author Posted December 14, 2008 Thanks Gabe and Edwin. I might still try a bit of weathering, but I am reading about aircraft weathering which is something I haven't done before.
HWR MKII Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 I think it looks perfect as it is. You enhanced the details as they are but the model still has an animated feel to it remenicent of the original series and DYRL. the weathered look really didnt come into the look until Macross Zero.
PetarB Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Wow she's a beauty. And great photography to complement, nicely done!
cool8or Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Thanks Gabe and Edwin. I might still try a bit of weathering, but I am reading about aircraft weathering which is something I haven't done before. You sounds exactly like me! Your building and paiting are perfect, very clean, without any inperfection or mistake in the way.
big F Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Looking good Also helps that you seem to know your way round Photography also. Great job. I do like the super clean just made look.
Berttt Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Hey nice work there dude - looks like she's fresh from the factory
xPLAN303Ex Posted December 15, 2008 Author Posted December 15, 2008 Thanks all for the support. I decided not to weather it, have other models to build cool8or: Trust me, there are mistakes there, I had to repaint it like 3 times and used multiple decal sheets.
MechTech Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Looks great and it is a nice clean build! - MT
