The first time I watched Macross 7, it was like ten or eleven years ago. I had only the most rudimentary grasp of Japanese, and I was watching the fansub with those dreadful initial [Central Anime] subs on it. You know, the ones that mistranslated "Planet Dance" as "Parry Stands" for about the first fifteen episodes.

That wasn't Central Anime, those were the Hong Kong bootleg subs. The CA ones have a couple of mistakes, but nothing on that magnitude.

That more than anything else convinced me that Unicorn was trying to position itself as the "grand finale" to the main Universal Century story that started in First Gundam...

I kept waiting for Book 5 to be completed (especially since he promised a resolution to the massive cliffhanger from BOOK TWO!!!) and waiting and waiting, only to finally come across a little paragraph in Intron Depot: Ballistics that said, "Since I'll never finish Appleseed..." and I was PISSED...

I was about to buy the first six manga so that it will be shipped together when the VF-0A is ready but after reading some of the comments here, I have a feeling that it will take some time before he finishes the whole thing. And by then, I'll probably loose interest on reading stuff.

But if I'm not mistaken the difference is that Isamu was aiming at the guy behind his wingman, and was trying to hit his target, where as Gavil was just firing indiscriminately and didn't care if he hit his wingman (but didn't hit his wingman).
