  1. The Brood originally showed up back in the day when the Starjammers first appeared. Somewhere around issue 107-110. They were bad ass species killers. That storyarc also introduced Ms Marvel in her powered up Binary form, the Sidri(sp?)iirc robotic hunter/killers, Ascanti, Lockheed the dragon, Shi'ar, Deathbird....etc.
  2. Sorta. Having power and knowing how to use it are two different things. (Forgot who or what comicbook I read that from). Would suck for Peter to suddenly go all blind guy premonition in the middle of a fight.
  3. Then I'd hunt down the writers for pulling a "Superman". That gets boring real quick. Oh and check out Greg Beemans blog. It's funny. http://gregbeeman.blogspot.com/
  4. Nikki just owned that goon in the elevator...and got herself out of debt at the same time. Nathan got lucky. Peter got lucky too. Matt spent more time on his back then Nikki. Claire just owned in that episode. Cute and funny getting herself out of the morgue. She drives manual! And taught that Brody punk a lesson he'll never forget. (he lives. See nbc.com online comic and next weeks trailer)
  5. Sky Cowboys? Sure. We surrender!
  6. Okay was that not an awesome episode or what? Stick shift. Fast cars. Deaths. Creepy dad. Hot lovin'. Samurai. Maximus: Are we not entertained??
  7. Plagues! Locusts! Armageddon!! Where's the beef?!? I missed the drama.
  8. "Holy Shi-!" You've got to admit that was funnier then heck when he kept falling face first into the sandbox.
  9. Hiro's funnier then heck, Sylar makes an appearance...or does he? VERY VIOLENT. Claire gets....well wait for the ending. It's funny. I'll post more tomorrow after everyone's got a chance to watch it.
  10. 2hrs 10mins to episode 3. As for a spoiler this is going to be graphic, very graphic. I'll post again when the shows over tonight, if I ain't over at 9thwonders.com.
  11. The lazy bugger is just swooshing his toy around his apartment complex in his underpants.
  12. Ever the voice of pessimism eh?
  13. Woohoo! It's here for the season!! Take that haters!
  14. Well well well. It turns out he voice of Sylar is voice by Maurice LaMarche .... Sylar (voice). So who exactly is Sylar since that disproves the voice sounding like HRG.
  15. Saw some preliminary Monday night audience numbers from the following article: http://www.fanpop.com/external/8972 Here are the particulars (since the article deals with a lot of Studio60 stuff before it gets into Heroes): "The better news was that Heroes continued to look strong. Though it dipped 10 percent from last week?s 5.9, it continued to build audience in its second half hour and again won its timeslot." "At 9 p.m., Heroes led at 5.3, followed by a 4.8 for CBS's Two and a Half Men (5.2) and The New Adventures of Old Christine (4.5), a 3.3 for the first hour of ABC?s Bachelor, a 2.5 for the finale of Univision's Barrera de Amor, a 2.3 for Fox's Vanished, and a 0.8 for the CW's second airing of Runway, which was up slightly (0.1) over last week." "Despite strong retention for Heroes after last week's debut, NBC fell behind CBS on Monday night for the first time this season, averaging a 4.2 rating and 11 share to the latter's 4.6/11." [that is Heroes won the slot, but NBC lost overall to CBS] Go Heroes! Still going strong audiencewise.
  16. Emer-who? At this point I would like to point to you stupid ass suits that this show has ALREADY been rebroadcast at least twice in the U.S. and in Canada. Dumbass! NBC should start sticking other things into garbage disposals for the fun of it now. Potatoes, jello, pie, guinea pigs, mice, snakes, birds, alligators, Tickle Me Elmos, Big Bird, Polkaroo, Teletubbies, Oprah, Rosie, Kate Moss, Paris....etc.
  17. Definitely. There are so many clues of what could possibly happening in future episodes and nods to other shows it's almost not funny. You've got to watch it repeatedly to get all the references. Warning to all with kids: There is ALOT of gore in this show. People getting brained, dead mobsters, people getting shishkebobed, explosions....etc. Talk about Heroes, Talk about Heroes, Talk about Heroes.
  18. I yeah I forgot to mention that. NBC will be streaming the first 8 episodes online after they've aired so if you've missed it you still have a chance to watch it. Granted the tv HD version is still going to look better but......
  19. Somebody just ruined Noriko's happy ending.
  20. It's rerun today at 8pm. And not that ratings mean anything to me (except that it means this might not get pulled like Firefly...)
  21. Well....that was....interesting. Personally I preferred the pacing of the SDCC version and the leaked screener version. The aired TV version seemed....wham bam thank you ma'am! All in all, it wasn't bad, but the re-editing and cutting made it....less cohesive. The limited commercial breaks were cool though. The trailer for next weeks episode is great. Greg Grunberg shows up as Officer Matt Parkman(telepath). D.L. appears, Mohinder looks for Patient Zero, Hiro goes looking for Isaac, someone's stalking Claire, Niki is still looking hot.
  22. To each their own but I can tell you right now it's not Mutant X, Smallville, My Secret Identity, Incredible Hulk. It's better. As for the writers beyond Tim Kring, Adam Armus Aron Coleite Bryan Fuller Greg Beeman Jeph Loeb Jesse Alexander Joe Pokaski Kay Foster Michael Green Natalie Chaidez I'm sure you recognize some of the names there....and since Jeph and Tim both know Whedon.... http://www.newsarama.com/movies/Heroes/HeroesSplash.jpg http://www.newsarama.com/movies/Heroes/Heroes.html
  23. If it was the Dairugger XV (Car/Vehicle Voltron) I might be interested but since it's the Lions, and IMO the Toynami one is fine for what it is.......not interested.
  24. It seems like you've already decided that you're not going to like the show because of some short text someone wrote. All I can say is to just watch the show and make you're own decision. I'm willing to bet that the writers have fleshed out the story alot more then what you've read then. Me, I've seen the directors cut of the pilot and it introduces all the characters(the TV pilot doesn't introduce at least 2 characters until eps. 2). Some of these characters you hate, some you love some you want to kill but they all have their own motivations for doing something and it's not, "with great power comes great responsibility." I think it's going to rock. The group vs group(ie team-ups) will happen but it will not be a permanent thing. The personality of the characters don't fit that mold and this is more of a drama then fx series. It's about the people, not the fx bling.
