The Transformers 3 Thread--A Michael Bay Thread
RedWolf replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Too small. Anyway from the bots inside it, it looks like an Autobot ship. If this ship is the Ark I am thrilled if its going to fight the Nemesis in DotM Note Transformers have a tendency in the Movies to crash on moons. -

Not if you include Macross games like M3 and VF-X2. Especially if your surname is Jenius. -

Has anybody heard of the YF-29? Anybody who can read please confirm if Alto is going to fly this instead of the VF-171EX Nightmare Plus. -
Interesting email by Hasbro UK, WFC and Prime are separate continuities. Course this isn't Hasbro US statement. Wonder if they'll follow through. Anyway High Moon is planing a WFC sequel.
-
One setting Prime as a sequel to WFC was a move by Hasbro marketing to attract people to Prime. Two WFC developer High Moon made WFC thinking G1 prequel. Three this is Orci and Kurtzman we are talking about notorious for continuity snarls and not doing research. Star Trek the whole Klingon Neutralzone, In RoTF failing at geography not to mention forgetting Israel existed. Israel is smack dabbed in between Egypt and Jordan. The only thing in common between WFC, Exodus novel and Prime is Dark Energon. Even its effects are different. Plus in Prime it was as if Starscream hasn't seen Dark Enegon before. In WFC and Exodus Starscream was in charge of the damn stuff. Not to mention Megatron already mastered Dark Energon. Prime's history indicated the factions and war was before Optimus and Megatron and the war was over Energon. The Energon on Earth was brought there by the ancient Autobots and ancient Decepticons as spoils. Earth was the biggest Cybertronian battleground in this galaxy. Optimus Prime and Megatron was once friends. Megatron lost his way, Optimus Prime chose a side. In WFC and Exodus the factionalization was recent.

Caprica! Dynasty Meets BSG
RedWolf replied to terry the lone wolf's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Canada's Space channel aired Caprica till the end. Thank goodness not a cliffhanger but open ended. Guess we'll have to wait for Blood and Chrome series which will feature the 10th year of the First Cylon War with William "Bill" Adama as the protagonist. -
When Jeffrey Combs said Megatron was desecrating their ancestors and his own he was pretty much channeling Shran there. Starscream here is different from the rest of the Starscreams, he'll just wait for your plan to blow up on your face, promptly leave you for dead thus having a legitimate claim to command without looking like a backstabber. He also expresses a facade of concern. Though he has a berserk button for saying he is not in charge. Cliffjumper and Fowler were his cruelest for being smart-alecs.

Finally over. I like to call the one in the middle Sarge. He was cool. -
Prime borrows a lot from other continuities in the franchise. Bumblebee mute and beeping- Movie and Unicron Trilogy Ground Bridge- RID spacebridge Jack - Movie Sam expy Miko - Animated Sari expy Ratchet- WFC design and Animated snarkyness Megatron- Movie design and WFC madness Optimus Prime- Movie Prime Agent Fowler- Movie bureaucrat/S7 agent Autobot Base- Earth base in Cybertron Eradicons- Cylons as Vehicons only intelligent Energon- Beast Wars and Energon Dark Energon is common theme with WFC and Exodus but dialogue suggest Prime is a new continuity no matter what Hasbro says.

Caprica! Dynasty Meets BSG
RedWolf replied to terry the lone wolf's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The Final Five's society created their own AI soldier/slaves that resemble Cylons. It was not a coincidence if the previous episode is of any indication. The Earth Cylon society once had organic memory transfer resurrection which originated from Kobol. They abandoned this in favor of natural reproduction. The Final Five were scientists who each had contact with Head Persons warning them of the impending doom of their society urging them to recreate the resurrection process. The Head Persons sent them on an errand to warn the 12 Colonies that they would end the same way if they don't treat their AI better. Again a Head Person is responsible for instigating the creation of AI and a VR version of the resurrection process via Zoe Graystone. If we go by the show mantra "This has happened before and this will happen again" then this has happened on the eve of the 13th Tribe's exodus from Kobol, 2000 years later with the 12 Tribes exodus from Kobol to the Colonies, the destruction of Earth around the same time, and the death and exodus from the 12 Colonies. Course Head Persons knew the Final Five would barely make it to stop the First Cylon War. Still that didn't stop the cycle. We knew they trying to create new life via Hybrids before the Final Five made their offer. More likely One/John/Cavil pulled a coup as not all of the Model-005 Cylons agreed with the new management. These would be the Guardians. He also killed Seven/Daniel permanently, and vacuumed then boxed his parents the Final Five. -

God did it? Which annoyed me at the end of nBSG. The existence of Head Zoe indicates that. She has an epiphany of the Cylon as child before Daniel even conceived of it. Sort of a proto-Starbuck. After Philomon died the Cylons started to work. Not sentient like Zoe-A and Tamara-A but at least not moronic. But if we go by Serge's responses in Tweets, though Serge denies it, it is self aware. Yeah Colonials can build AI without a human copy they don't just realize it. Course given what bits we know about the Final Five Earthers it is always these Head People that instigates the end of humanity by introducing immortality and one eyed killer robots. -

Macross Frontier Movie 1,YES it is subbed now edition
RedWolf replied to sharky's topic in Movies and TV Series
I meant it was oddly prophetic that Jimi Heselden died on a Segway while looking at countryside scenery. Harsher in Hindsight as a trope means fictional plot devices becomes deadly prophetic when the real event happens. Its like one of Tom Clancy's novels having a 747 plane used as a missile before 9-11. -

Anybody thinking Sheryl and Alto falling off a cliff harsher in hindsight given the fact Jimi Heselden, the company owner of Segway, accidentally died falling off a cliff while riding his Segway? -

Then watch it in action. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cymG48RkWaA Even if answering a call one shouldn't ignore the rules and be ignorant at same time. Cowboy attitude can get people killed. As said the cop had his CB radio set at a different frequency from what Washington DC police were using and he ignored a red light while plowing in a movie set. Oh yeah Bay jokingly said Cops wrecked his Bumblebee now they'll have to pay for it. Though said in a joke Washington PD still will have to pay for the damages. Once the cop recovers I expect a dressing down by his superior for his idiocy. -

Uh...No actually the cop was at fault. Even if he was a bomb squad member on call. No he wasn't the only one who responded to it. It turns out to be a false alarm. 1. He was supposed to know its a movie set. Memo or briefing he was supposed to know. One witness said he ran over the yellow tape. Other witnesses said some cops were waving at him. 2. He set his CB radio on a frequency different from what Washington D.C. cops were using in the area. 3. The guy has an attention deficit. He ignored a red light. You got several stunt cars pass him and he still goes then he gets hit at the corner where the Camero and Ferrari's drivers wouldn't see him coming. Even if you are a cop you don't ignore traffic laws. -

Why do I have a feeling a war is going to brew between the Ha'la'tha and the STO? Both are offered exclusivity to resurrection unknown to each other by different individuals. -

Well there is an earlier rumor that TF3 will tell there is more to the space race than meets the eye. A bunch of MIB,probably Sector 7, informed JFK there is something on the moon. My prediction it is a ship. Since the Decepticons have the Nemesis I'm hoping for the Ark for some space battles. The Decepticons have the Nemesis at some dead moon. Notice the Spikes of Villainy. Ryan Church, the same guy who made the Narada, designed it. Perhaps John Nizzi's concept of it wouldn't be of waste? Yes Transformers have terrible parking skills. Oh there they filming at Kennedy Space Center of the shuttle Discovery. -
That made me laugh like a hyena.

Well 3D is not for everybody and that's a fact. When the papa Owl said "I'm proud of you son" my reaction was... What about the other son? Yeah better not speak about him.
