    We know from Macross 7 prologue Macross 1 had a series of City Class ships without a shell. Similar to Island Jackpot that landed on Ragna. Macross 5 and Macross Galaxy both had General Galaxy a hand in their manufacturing. General Galaxy being known to incorporate Zentradi tech in their products. We don't exactly know if Macross 5 was sponsored similarly to Macross Galaxy by General Galaxy. In any case the typical post Megaroad emigration fleet either has City class with a shell like in the Macross VF-X2 cutscene intro or Island Cluster Class like we saw in Macross Delta prologue.

    In the Main Macross continuity UN Spacy particularly those on Earth see the Minmay Attack as a fluke. Less effective with Zentradi Remnant aka Rebels.who want to go back to the good old days of being a militant race. The reason it worked on Chlore's Mentrandi fleet is that despite being formerly part of 118th Main Fleet they were not present during the Battle on Earth. What they got was secondly hand information like Miclones who transform their ship as a battle form and Vrlithwai and Exsedol defected. Th The other known uncultured Zentradi ship which is remnant of the Koper Main Fleet which was annihilated by the Vajra some 50 years prior was a more typical response as SMS wiped them out leaving no witnesses. As.per Macross the Ride.

    Technically the YF-29 might be considered a 6th generation VF due its capabilities. As it is called the Last Valkyrie. Thing is it is too expensive to produce and aces are.the only ones seen piloting them.

    Space Life capable of Fold has been encountered by the Protoculture replicating their forms. The Vajra for their Zentradi Battle Pods while the Galactic Whales for the Nupetiet-Vergnitzs class. While is it explicit the Birdman in Mayan islander mythology I think the Fishman may be the Galactic Whales.

    Since fleets and planets are now Sovereign states I say it is war than a civil war. We have heard of planets in civil war like Cachew between the old UN Spacy aligned with Lactence and the local NUNS and Divide the planet of Kaname Bucaneer. Other than that is the usual Zentradi Rebels like with Sephira as seen in Macross VF-X2 though that was defending the planet's independence from Earth and the Zentradi attack in 2059 as seen in Macross 30.

    The beauty of Protoculture history is that we don't know everything. Something always pops up. Like the Protodevlin and the Vajra. Various technology they left behind. Doing a prequel limits the storylines. Besides as Kawamori stated Macross is an in-universe docudrama. Hence a fluid Canon.

    I do wonder if there the TV series Queadluun-Rau and DYRL Queadluun-Rau each have a designation. Both versions appeared in Macross 7 Encore episodes.

    The Unification War was not a war between countries but a global civil war. Though from the portrayal in Macross Zero it was more of an analog of the War on Terror. The Anti-UN Alliance are very well funded terrorists. Their extremism is why it didn't last long. The threat of aliens being real the organization collapsed. According to Macross Chronicle Mechanic: All 01A: VF Masterpieces Seen From Their Development Ancestry (VF-1 Series) the SV-51 was intended right from the beginning to fight other VFs. A legacy carried over by the Sv series such as the Sv-262 by successors to the manufacturers of the SV-51. N .

    A hundred over a thousand of Vrlitwhai's fleet survived Soace War 1 but Earth's surface has some 2,000 Zentradi ship hulls that crashed on the planet. Some repairable. Though I can see the material recycled such as with Zentradi weapons installed on the SDFN Macross Class. As for the ratio of Zentrandi-Meltrandi designs we are ot sure as Meltran hulls are seen in Macross M3 and Macross VF-X2.

    Well besides the first Megaroad itself and unidentified escorts it had Vrlitwhai's Nupetiet Vergnitzs refit as an escort. It had VF-4s as well. That is at least what we can see in Macross Flashback 2012. As per Macross Delta according to Berger Stone , Epsilon Foundation rep, at the end of the Vajra War Xaos Ragna branch received a transmission from Megaroad-01 which has not been heard from since 2016. In Macross Frontier Richard Bilrer owner of SMS and sponsor of the Frontier fleet believes the Vajra is the key to discovering the whereabouts of Megaroad-01. Megaroad-04 made a pitstop at Eden before going all the way to the rim at Windermere after taking a detour due to a Fold Fault at 2027. Megaroad-13 settled the Varauta system in 2025 and at the 4th planet which was Protoculture planet accidentally unleashed the imprisoned Protodevlin in 2043 after sending an investigation team in its ruins messing with the entropy temp controls. The Varauta investigation fleet had VF-14 in its complement. It takes a while for UN Spacy/NUNS to learn not to touch anything nilly-wily when it comes to the Protoculture! Megaroad 24 and 25 never launched as their docking bays blew up. Besides the emigration fleets there are so solo or private emigrant ships. Some of them are Anti-Earth Zentradi that left in 2031. Around a year after the Second Battle of Macross City. Most Zentradi integrated some like the 33rd Marines forcefully so. But some didn't just quit and are labeled Zentradi remnants. Thing is wherever Terrans go these Zentradi follow as they look for a fight. Varius colony world's had to deal with them.And It got so.bad that Earth brass thought there is no negotiating with Zentradi remnants. Remnants of Boddole Zer's 118 Main Fleet. The biggest encountered is Chlore's Meltrandi fleet which was not present during the final battle on Earth but has reports of it. Basara was able to culture that fleet. E

    Though similar to Japanese language there is gender substitution. Rak for Yak in Meltran for example. Kinda like how men refer themselves as Ore while women as Atashi.

    Yes it is but THIS IS ANIMATION! Special Macross 7 listed Gigille's ship as a Supervsion Amy ship at one point. Macross Chronicle trumps it as a source but the original info given was that it was a SA ship.

    Just read the Macross Chronicle Timeline on it. The Supervsion Army or Inspection Army were all giant like Zentradi were. It is possible for NUNS to encounter them and not be able to tell a difference between them and Zentradi as they share equipment. After the Factory Satellite capture operation a Supervsion Army ship was never encountered again as far as we know. As least the Class the ASS-1 belongs to must be super rare. But it not unheard of Zentradi having rare mecha like the Enemy Battle Suit in Macross Plus and the Quadluun-Alma in Macross the Ride. It would not surprise me if the ASS-1 was entirely automated. The Protodevlin switched tactics to using drones once Basara started freeing VF pilots of mind control again and again. They could've done it before. The prevailing theory in Macross Chronicle is that the Supervsion Army was the brainwashed Zentradi and Protoculture by the Protodevlin. However SDF Macross hints the Protoculture Civil War was between the Zentradi Army and Supervision Army. Giggile's Varauta Battleship was originally to be called a Supervsion Army battleship. So idea is any poor smuck under mind control devices of the Protodevlin are Supervision Army. You know what is so bad? A terrorist organization Fasces, formerly a remnant of Lactence, has in their possession not only the Varauta VFs but also Protodevlin Arsenal Factory Satellite that can brainwash people. And they have been hijacking ships taking their crews adding them as troops. Angers 672 killed their pro-Earth leader Naresuan with intention to spread war in the galaxy. While Bab II their flagship was destroyed by SMS their commander Angers 672 is MIA. On another note if Macross Galaxy survived would it be considered an disowned fleet? Macross 7 was left on its own by Earth giving Max a sense of deja vu like what happened 35 years before with the Macross. In Macross 7 Earth just gave up on three fleets. Namely Macross 7, Macross 5 and Megaroad-13. If the Frontier movies are metafictional portrayals like DYRL for the NUN Macross Galaxy for all intent is already dead. Not to mention Earth, other planets and fleets do not trust Macross Galaxy for its espionage activities and of yes attempted conquest of the galaxy using the Vajra.

    The existence of the Star Singer and Mina Forte at least suggest the Protoculture puts some survivors in stasis. Which reminds me was there a story where a SF-3A Lancer II pilot was put into cold sleep and the time he wakes up the war was over?

    Both the Glaug and Regult are based on the shape of Vajra drones. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery. The Protoculture can certainly make more Vajra like weapons such as the Giant Bugs on New Asia and Dyaus Guardians on Ouroboros. .Essington around in Protoculture ruins is always a gamble. The Zentradi Medium Gun Destroyer firing mechanism is certainly inspired by the Vajra Knight Class. The Nupetiet-Vergnitzs however was not based on Vajra but Galactic Whales that visit Planet Zola yearly. In Macrosss Dynamite 7 poachers catch and sell Galactic Whales to produce space ship parts. Elma didn't elaborate on what specifically but I am assuming like the Vajra Galactic Whales have natural Fold Reactors and has Fold Carbon in their bodies as they can Space Fold. It could be the Protoculture original area of space puts them in proximity of these creatures. There is some confirmation of Protoculture ruins on the Vajra homeworld. But given the Vajra are extra galactic and has been known to turn Zentradi Mobile Fortress as a hive they could've just moved in. The Protoculture creating the Zentradi could also be a statement. "We too can be Giants!" The Protoculture are conceited enough to call itself the species with the first culture. Though I do wonder if in their proxy war using Zentradi if the Protoculture just left decisions to AI. After 500,000 years the Bird Human and Protoculture person or or AI on Rax still follow their programming. In DYRL the war continues due to the Super Computers running the the Mobile Fotresses. The Factory Satellites are.like Von Neumann machines making more of themselves and weapons they produce.

    When NUNS got Queadluuns for their Zentradi troops in Macross Fromtier I said finally they retired those ball deathtraps! Then Macross Delta showed Regult variants! It gives the picture of the Brisingr Alliance being a bunch of cheapskates along with them still not replacing the VF-171. Some other Zentradi NUNS Marines use either Queadluun-Rhea or Neo Glaug as their fighting machine.

    What are the known effects of Fold Faults besides interfering with Space Folding? Giggle mentions in Macross 7 episode 36 the island they are on has Energy Faults that interfere with either with a VF's computer or Reaction Engines. In Macross u episode 38 Valgo warped the Space-Time continuum that prevented.Macross 7 from Folding out

    Max is totally the master of subterfuge. He thought his VF-1 is inconspicuous wearing clothes of a Zentradi whom he nicked him from while in a toilet. His disguise sense is inherited by his daughter Mylene. She puts shades on her pet rat too. .

    Seeing the cutscene exposition about the VF-X Raven's missions I can see why Lactence is a mad dog that needs to be put down. Some people may be able to stomach Earth supremacist attitudes but not when they threaten the security of Frontier Planets and Emigration Fleets. Ordering the Special Forces to raid the Endebald's Magic Mirror Fold Radar and Vulcan's Laser defense satellite grid would render them vulnerable to a hostile galaxy full of Stray Zentradi fleets and the Supervision Army. Not to mention the Vajra which is still considered hostile at the time.

    Thinking about it wouldn't the VAB-2 which the FBz-99G Saubergeran was based on be a better design ancestor of the Feios Valkyrie? FBz-99G Saubergeran like the Feios has a similar transformation and lacks a Gerwalk mode. Rebel Zentradi stole a VF-X11 and somehow reverse engineering from that made the Feios Valkyrie.

    Proto-de-bi-lun Going by what Kodachi Ukyo said Protodevlin means Old without a soul. Proto is Old , de is a negative, bi is a modifier and lun or Rune means a Soul. Windermereans equate Runes with what they have on their hair. In the original Protoculture language it is a spirit.
