  1. Here is site I used: http://www.slstoredisplays.comThe price isn't the cheapest but the store offered free shipping to a business address for orders over 1K. Since inside delivery is very expensive for folks like me living in an apt in new york city, I have them shipped to my mover and have my mover delivered inside. In the end I probably saved about 300 in shipping. this site (http://www.fixturedepot.com/) offers the same product for $80 less but the shipping eats all the savings in my case.
  2. Just ordered three display cases, which I think are the sames ones as kicker got. costed me a little over 12 benjamins and they should arrive in about 3 weeks. Very excited.
  3. scored a brutishdog+fyana bundle pack for 270 shipped! now the wait begins.
  4. Need opinions from you guys. Do you guys think it will look awkward to display toys in a curio like this? I was thinking buying display case like the ones Kicker773 got, which is all glass. but my wife insisit on buying something nice.
  5. Do you guys think which one is more valuable, TV version or DYRL version? I came across a place where stil has a couple TV ones.
  6. The one I got is in the giant pinkish box which which includes all the extra weapons.
  7. Yep I had the same issue with the fist charge on the left arm and I superglued that parts together so at least it stays there. The right arm is pretty solid sans the weak elbow. The brutishdog looks cool. Hopefully my supplier still have some in stock since he mentioned last week he can get it for me under 200.
  8. finally got a chance to fiddle around the yamato "last red shoulder" turbo custom. It set me back a little bit over 3 big ones and my thoughts...totally worth it. The first positive impression is how easy it is now to swap the hand. The ones on my strong bacchus caused me so much headaches that I wish whoever design the figure had an eternal fire in hell. This time, however, the swap is easy and clean. Plus there is no more detach and re-attach that silly thumb. The elbow is now on ratchet which means the turbo custom can do some pew pew pose, unlikely the strong bacchus who can never lift the gun due to its pussy arm. the overall build quality is eons better than my strong bacchus, which i believe is based on the old mold.
  9. I guess I just have to pay up for being late in the game. btw jenius, do you recommend yamato ones or the takara dmz series? looking forward to your votoms review.
  10. do you guys think 340 shipped for a LRS big box (the one comes with missle launcher, etc) is a reasonable price?
  11. these are some sharp eyes. I missed out the last cheap one on ebay and had to import it from taiwan. fortunately it only costed me a little over 100. i will post some pics tonight.
  12. ordered from hlj and from another member's group buy. If both are filled I guess I will sell the spare one at a slight mark-up
  13. Thanks guys. Whew, that was some relief. I bought it from ebay. The seller listed a mib unused one under "macros" so i was able to buy it for cheap.
  14. Hello, I just received a mib one. Upon opening it I found a metal rod that is about 1 inch long. Does anyone know what that is? Does it come along with the SDF-1 or could it fall from inside? any help is appreciated.
  15. Max 1A should have new hinges. I transformed mine for couple times and there hasn't been a problem. Hikaru 1J on the other hand, might have a 50/50 chance of having old hinges. i broke my first set in first transformation. but the one i got from hlj sales holds up pretty well.
  16. Got mine too, Gman my 1D and 1J thank you.

  18. Argh, I opened my Hikaru 1A today and the left shoulder is cracked. G-man, do you still have any off-white hingers?
  19. Based on my modeling experience, those cut marks are something to be expected on plastic toys. To hide those marks, you will need to use 800 or 1200 grip sandpapers to smooth them and use some polishing compound to hide the sand. To have the least cut/stress/white marks, one needs to cut the sprue about 0.5 inches from the actually end using a model scissor and use art knife to cut the remaining. I don't think any toy factory always has the luxury of doing that.
  20. Ha, I already expected the worst and ordered spare arms from OD. It is just a matter of time, even though it will stay in fighter mode forever.
