  1. Final Vegeta, the translation of the interview was done by Shaloom from the Spanish Macross Generation forums. Please credit him and Macross Generation in your post, since they really don´t like it if their work is posted uncredited. As for your opinion, I think I don´t need the stress of picking apart everything. Ohnogi saved the series, that´s what I think.
  2. I´d be completely happy to stay with the same characters on new adventures... for my taste they haven´t been played out yet and need more exposure.
  3. Could someone translate this? Babelfish spits out a bunch of nonsense, but it includes enough "Alto" and "Sheryl" that I am very interested. ^^ I guess it´s someone asking Megumi about the love triangle and her place in it?
  4. Apparently another set? I really am not on the up and up about what novels were written by whom. But I highly doubt Shaloom pulled the references out of his behind.
  5. Uh, yeah. Did I ever say something else? And the sources are clearly stated in the liner notes themselves. Mostly from the radio show with the VAs of Bobby Margo and Ranka Lee, and from the novels for the Macross TV series, written by Hiroshi Ohnogi. Did you read my translations? Because, except in cases of some ship designs and so on, I always included that, IIRC.
  6. No, they are not from the official DVD/B-R releases. ^^ They are from a Spanish board, where Shaloom, the owner of the board, makes those liner notes for the subs an affiliated group is bringing out. The sources are as told in the liner notes.
  7. Liner note translations for episode 22 are out here. Have fun, but don´t disseminate them all over the internet.
  8. Well, they may have been references and homages, but Ranka definitely was the Minmay of Frontier... and not in a good way. More for the subs of the group associated with the Macross Generation forums. Shaloom only posts the liner notes when those are ready. They are not doing the DVD/B-R releases however, only the normal TV releases.
  9. Shaloom from the Spanish Macross Generation forums has done liner notes for all episodes, up to episode 21 at this point. He kindly allowed me to translate them to English for our edification. I´ve finished all the existing liner notes and you can find them here on the AnimeSuki forum. Please leave them there and do not disseminate them around the internet. If you decide to be a dink and disregard this plea, then at least credit Shaloom and link back to the Macross Generation forums. The members of that community do not like people posting their stuff without attribution.
  10. Shush, you, you... moderator type you! I don´t want to wait several years for the scanlations, I nearly fell out of my chair laughing at this one. Thanks, Gubaba!
  11. I can only speak for myself, but since I don´t speak Japanese, I would in any case depend on translations. Hence, in the normal run of things, I would not be a viable costumer for buying Macross Ace in the first place. I suspect the vast mayority of people here are in the same situation as I. However, I can fully understand your point. I am just saying that there probably isn´t a really huge part of the audience who is in need of the scanlations, who would in the normal run of things buy the product. I could be totally wrong about this, of course, this is just my ( maybe very uninformed ) opinion.
  12. Not that I condone posting stuff on other boards without permission ( or attribution, I guess ), but what difference does it make? I mean, you do the scanlations so that we all can enjoy them, what does it matter if some some idiot posted them elsewhere? It is not exactly that there was a copyright problem which we haven´t ignored in the first place... In any case, I am a sad panda that now I don´t get to see the scanlations.
  13. Uh, what? Unless something has greatly changed, the last interviews clearly stated we´d get a retelling of the series. Not that I´d mind a sequel, I´d be ecstatic... but all I have heard, from multiple sources, is that we get a retelling. Is that the one of which we already got information, or has information about it yet to be released to us?
  14. DYRL - style. Was there a new interview with Kawamori?
  15. This is a good point. IIRC, Frontier had a very late timeslot, but the readership of those magazines is normally teenagers? In that case it could be assumed that the readership of that magazine could have been exposed just now to the amazingness which is Sheryl, hence her jump to number one.
  16. There was some egregiously bad animation in some episodes ( 15 and 19, to be exact ) which I still hope will be touched up for the Blue-Rays.
  17. Babelfish translation: About theater edition Some place, there is a place where the flow changes largely It is the feeling which about a stone is already thrown to the relationship of alto, [ranka] and [shieriru] A stone the new flag, rather than in the sense that setting up is introduced, As for the Valkyrie battle however in the television outer space was many, you can see the form which already fights in just a little atmospheric. [ranka] and [shieriru], by all means there is a new tune. Sugaya is in the midst of ardent producing.
  18. To wit: Alto reacting to Lalamias death old shot: Alto reacting to Lalamias death new shot:
  19. More like an added two seconds. But tons of other characters shots have been replaced with better animations. Alto screaming in anguish after Lalamia gets shot down now looks much less like him yawning, for example.
  20. Blue-Ray episode 14 is out from THORA. Animation-wise, tons of little things have been made better. Makes me hopeful for that dreadful hospital scene with Sheryl next episode. Also, at the end it seems much clearer that Ranka has had another attack of amnesia in regards to the song the Vajra queen showed her, so I guess she is excused now on that regard. And we got a last look at Lalamia Rerenia.... too bad that they never even let her speak, she was a hottie.
  21. Uh, what? They don´t sound even remotely the same.
