Tkls for the detailed description graham. What i would love to see, optics/mechanics behind the visor of the head piece. And of cos tempo printed markings on it as that of the VF0S, no need for stickers. Hopefully yamato does take the hint and lengthen the wings abit Am i asking too much?

The leg area looks fine to me, but the belly below the cockpit area looks abit fat. Anyway of lengthening the wing span? Btw will there be other schemes or repaints for this bird given YF-19A is one of the possibilities. Any add on like Fps, missiles or Fold booster? What would i really like to see after the YF19 are the YF21, VF11..and hell yeah a VF-17 !

Graham, have you had first hand experience with the prototype yet? Hopefully yamato has corrected some of the problems, fragile parts found in the previous 1/72 by reinforcing them with diecast or more durable parts. Whats the likehood of repaints for this 1/60 YF-19? Cheers

Nopes that's the actual color of the VF0S, a beige skin tone rather than a greyish white seen on that of the VF-1. Cheers

skull emblems are printed on the tail fins..but the toopid thing is that they arent printed in the centre but overlapping the grey and black details on the tail fins..this time round they arent crooked. Wonder why yamato didnt bother to correct this problem even with the 5th reissue of the VF-1S Roy Missiles are grey for normal and fps versions of the stealth. Pilot is the same as low vis...wish yamato would have repainted a DYRL or TV pilot instead. who wants to do a swap with mine? Cheers

Most of the batches came from jp while some are from HK. Seems that there isnt QC problems so far..no wrong shoulders, loose joints. Havent fiddle with the Fps magnets and polycaps yet..Hope those are ok as well Touch wood! The pilot figurine is one of the best painted figures i have seen so far, looks much more better that that of the 1/48. Cheers

Just got mine. The black and grey parts to my surprise aint too contrasting such that it conflicts with each other, blends in with each other really well. The fps colors are really droolsome and beautiful to behold. The packaging consist of two boxes, one is a regular 1/48 VF-1A/S/J type of box and the other is a 1/48 Fps box..both of them are packaged in a super big box. Whats nice is both the boxes are white..sort of reminds of of exclusive ltd tfs that were packaged in. Overall a beautiful piece. Considering doing up a 1S head with blueroses sticker/decals.

Sorry to hear that hayao. My two pieces doesnt have any of the problems mentioned, no 2 right shoulders, joints fairly tight, fps magnets works okie, no broken parts. Guess im lucky. What i like abt are the translucent red clear pieces that represent optic lenses. Downside is hands arent retractable as that of the VF-1. But silohuette and its sleekness makes it a beautiful piece to display in all 3 modes. Hope that yamato does do the ghost unit for it, and maybe a VF-0A or D variant Cheers

Well looky what we have here, 1/60 VF0S boxart. Sorry to disappoint you folks who were hoping for a Tenjin or Takani artwork. Looks quite pretty much the same as that of a 1/48 VF-1S except for the thick yellow border on the right side of the box. Looks great, the battroid, fighter and box!

I would say im game for any of the variants, be it VF-0S/A/D cos they they all look gorgeous. Hopefully we can see some SV-51s as well as some destroids and monsters being done as well Cheers
