  1. Meh, it's tiny compared to what everyone else seems to have, I plan to expand it though, what with all those sweet VF-1 v2s coming out, the destroids or Frontier valks.
  2. Yeah, I guess I will get Ozma as 1/60, Alto and Michel as 1/72 and maybe Luca if hes super cheap as 1/100. But let's first see what the available add-ons are and if they are making any other mecha, like the VF-27, or VF-171 (Bandai please!), or heaven forbid the Big Mac and the Quarter Pounder.
  3. Here is my current collection, my 1/72s aren't on it though as they are still at my parents house.
  4. My collection is small but quaint. 1/48=1: - VF-1A Max 1/60=4: - VF-0A / Ghost - SV-51 Nora - YF-19 - YF-21 1/72=2: - YF-21 /FP - VF-11B /FP Non-scale - Revy YF-21, YF-19, VF-1S, VF-1A, Reguld
  5. That's just ordinary VF-25 Cannon fodder, in the close up of its head it's beige, not blue as in Michael's jet. The blue light is just sunlight reflecting from his Ex-Gear, it's a throwback to Macross Plus movie Guld. I admit I too shed a few manly tears on Michael's death. The voice actors did a superb job and damn he was my favourite character.
  6. I bet that umbrella is more expensive to buy (not make) than my car.
  7. I don't know how anyone can become imune to reality being eaten up around them. Unless maybe they all grow fold drives and treknobabble their way out.
  8. I managed to vastly increase image quality and performance while watching Macross F today. Basically I installed CoreAVC for better performance and then in Coreavc options I set input to Auto and Output to PC I kept ffdshow as a post-processor to correct the aspect ratio for the TV-Out Then I used the 16-235 -> 0-255 shader from MPC to remove the greyish bars around the video and improve contrast even further. Here are some comparison pics, left=before, right=after: Unfortunately the effect of the shader isn't passed on to the screenshots, but just imagine the black borders pitchblack instead of dark-greyish. Had to raise the TV brightness a tad to compensate though, as the brightnessrange bug of the VRM9 renderer doesn't translate to the tv. Of course this solution is taylored to my monitor and tv, but if you are unsatisfied with the blackness of space you can try it out as well.
  9. Merging Avi and .sub files is really easy. 1. Get MKVtoolnix here :http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/win32/mkvtoolnix-unicode-2.2.0-setup.exe 2. Install it and open mmg.exe 3. Drag and drop both the Avi and .sub into the input files window 4. ? 5. Click start muxing 6. Instant softsubs!
  10. You are mistaken, MKV isn't a format it's just a container. Think of it being like an uncompressed zip file that has the subs bundled in them. What makes it so choppy is that the new releases are using the H264 codec bundled with high resolution captures. While H264 may provide a far better compression quality than Mpeg4, it's also very slow to decode without hardware support. For reference I regularly combine my avi files with the .sub files using mkvmerge, with no performance loss.
  11. Just get Media player classic and ffdshow like everyone else and enjoy those beautiful softsubs
  12. Are there any release dates for the super & armored parts yet?
  13. I chose the ghost. It might not be the most iconic, but it definately has the largest visual impact.
  14. Meh, wasn't so sure about the official stance on warez here, so if it's okay then yeah.
  15. Btw, Lion and northern cross single are already out on the web. If you can't find them you can pm me and I will give you the link.
  16. He wasn't kidding btw, horribleraw is out. Yay, 1mb/s [edit] False alarm, the file is 40mb and only 10 minutes long[/edit]
  17. Wow, I may have missed the first 3/4 of the show but what I have seen was great.
