  1. Ah man I missed it again!!! Got a figinstock alert like 5 mins after I went to bed hahaha
  2. Jeez'o'man! Ordered with super parts from Nippon Yasan lolol Wish I got the vf at list price; oh wells maybe next time :\
  3. Do folks anticipate a re-release? Trying to decide if I should bite the bullet and get one for $250-300 or wait.
  4. yeah I want the gbp but it's 18000-21000 yen everywhere depending on the condition of the box. That's a lot for a 1/100; so I would def get in on a new release.
  5. Shoot I missed the lower price PO at HLJ!!! lolol I missed both vf-31 POs as well. Have to setup a figinstock acct so I can jump on these!
  6. Some of them def look like stickers but I'm still getting one. This will be my first 1/60 vf-1 so I'm excited to finally get my hands on one.
  7. Just watched the 31J review on scorched earth toys and I'm so tempted to pick this up! I completely blew up my budget the last couple months so I have to sit on my hands for now lolol
  8. Yes they are very old at this point. I am picking up items that are sealed or only opened to inspect contents but I still worry that the white variants will yellow quickly or are already yellow out of the box. My ancient VF-1J still looks solid but I display it in an enclosed case in a room with no natural light. What are you gonna do? As long as I can enjoy them for a little while I'm happy
  9. I'm obsessed with the 1/48s. Had an Ichijo VF-1J with strike parts for years but was never in a position to buy more when they came out. Picking up all the 1/48s that I wanted now. It's costing an arm and a leg but I love them!
  10. I cancelled my regular order at NY and ordered the premium version I could prob snag a 1/48 VF-1S for around the same price lolol
  11. Pre-ordered on NY. Their currency conversion looks incorrect; definitely let paypal handle the currency conversion. First time ordering with NY so I hope everything goes well!
  12. This figure looks so cool. Preordered with lunar!
  13. Did anyone keep going watching the series? I forgot about this thread but I'm now on episode 74 and still enjoying the heck out of the story.
  14. Thanks forgot to touch on my earlier comment regarding animation. I agree that the animation quality is quite good and it fits the story well.
  15. Couldn't resist, I watched the first 5'ish eps on youtube last night an started dl'ing the CA DVDs. Doesn't look like they're quite finished with the dvd version though it should be complete very soon. I was surprised at how engaging I found the story. It felt epic from the start and the military tactics and political intrigue are well done. Can't imagine the twists and turns the story will take in the next 100'ish eps but I'm excited to see more.
  16. This sounds very cool. I've read a lot about LOGH but never actually watched an episode because I'm not typically crazy about older shows. I suppose I've become accustomed to the eye candy most newer productions have to offer. At any rate, (I think) I'm in; though I may not be able to stop myself from watching a few eps before new years.
  17. Picked up GN-U limited coloring version VF-11B, YF-19, YF-21 and fast packs (except for the 11B; sold out!) I really enjoy the GN-Us so I'm happy to have these for the holidays. Wish I could purchase more but my toy budget isn't what it should be (yet).
  18. Saw the preview a few days ago and it looks pretty cool. Will def try to catch this in the theater.
  19. Excellent; I think you'll dig Dune. Curious how you'll enjoy the Ender books. I thought they were amazing when I read them in college but I tried reading them again recently and couldn't get past the first handful of chapters (meh). Didn't hold up as well in my opinion but you will prob dig them the first time through. Happy reading!
  20. Another vote for the Foundation Trilogy, epic epic masterpiece. The Robot series, also Asimov, is quite good as well. Dune is another wonderful series. I enjoyed some of the books after the original trilogy but the first three are the best. Old Mans War and the first two sequels are fantastic. Loads of references to classic sci fi tales; core story reminds me of Starship Troopers. Haven't read Zoe's Tale yet but I'll get there. Another fave is The Stars My Destination by Bester. So many things to love about this book, the main character undergoes a drastic change from beginning to end and it's an entertaining read. edit: forgot The Peace War and Marooned in Realtime by Vinge (in a word bobbles!). So many more but these are a great start.
  21. Watched the first eps of Panty and Stocking, and Yet Town Keeps Going/Turning. Cute shows; Panty and Stocking def reminds me of Power Puff Girls and the lead of Yet Town Keeps Going/Turning has such a wonderful voice. Look forward to the next few eps.
  22. Enjoyed the heck out of the first episode last night. Who doesn't love zombies? Wife was spooked by the gore but we had a lot of fun with the show. Plan to keep watching and def want to checkout the source material as well.
