  1. the supposed "updated" VF-0S isn't even out yet... it might be safer to wait for somebody from JP or HK to review it first... nobody really knows how much "updating" was really done... and it's not an exclusive and Yamato usually re-issues their stuff. there's no harm in waiting.
  2. uploading is working when adding a pic to a post... but it's not working when uploading pics to the Invision Gallery, even when i tried to create a new Album. maybe the new uploading protocol is not connected to the old Gallery/Albums???
  3. yes. jpg. it's ok. it might just sort itself out eventually. not really a big issue. i was trying to post it the album i started before maintenance, i'll just try to post in a new album, that might work.
  4. just a picture that's below 640x480. i use firefox and i always clean out everything including cookies everytime i close it. i've also tried to look for it and delete it manually. This is what i'm getting... < Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information. The image upload failed, please contact a system administrator.> anyway, i'll keep trying different files. Thanks!
  5. just get a Hikky VF-1S and wait for the Max VF-1A. Swap the head+fuselage and wing w/ modex #. but i do hope they make the 1S max coz it seems pretty easy for them to do. however, the v.1 1/60 and 1/48 didn't release a Max 1S...
  6. yeah the pics are great... great photography and great photoshopping (is this even a word???) but the valk still looks the same w/ the leg to shield gaps in fighter, hip placement and Urkel ankles/feet.
  7. what if the middle part (between the pin ends) is the one that breaks because the area of the plastic there is lessened? i believe that that part doesn't even cover the whole middle of the pin.
  8. can't seem to upload pics anymore since the Thanksgiving maintenance. is there a new rule for uploading pics? thanks.

    Reissued YF-19?

well the owner of a local shop here says he emails the prez of Yamato and he guarantees that the new YF-19's he's selling is fixed. as for the other stores i've asked it's either "sorry, we don't open or play w/ the new ones" or "so far nobody who has bought it has complained"... BTW, i didn't buy it from that local store coz i bought mine from a different store w/c was selling it way cheaper... so in a sense i took a gamble and it paid off, and i'm pretty sure that there are very few first issue YF-19's left out there, so the % of getting a new and fixed one is pretty good. if the box has considerable shelf-wear then that could be a sign that it's not a new one. HLJ has a pretty good reputation so that's a plus.

    Reissued YF-19?

yep... and i bought the FB+FP separately.
  11. ok... well, good luck. BTW, i checked my 1J and it seems you can remove the shoulder hinge by removing the 3 screws on the backplate (opposite of the chestplate, i guess). 2 are the ones for fastening the wings, right and left side and the one in the middle bottom to fasten the metal swing bar. once you remove the screws, i'm guessing the two parts of the backplate can be separated to expose the shoulder hinge connection. hope this helps... i only tried to remove one of the screws for the wings to check if i can swap wings w/ modex #.
  12. when my kid told me the Apatosaurus thing i didn't believe her at first... i told her, her teacher is wrong... until i googled it... but yeah, i like brontosaurus better... poor TF Sludge, will have an identity crisis
  13. yep. the other one is the hardener... seems eugimon has done the epoxy fix... maybe sanding or filing it after will help. (and painting it white ) so where's the right shoulder hinge pin spur side pointing? up or down?
  14. what about the right shoulder hinge, on the top too in b-mode? i think epoxy would be better coz it'll act as a filler to the crack. i don't think you'll be able to glue and then press the two sides of the crack together. that might just make it worse.
  15. wow, first 1A casualty... are the pins' thicker spur side on the same side? top or bottom? i don't have the 1A.

    Reissued YF-19?

recently bought a standalone YF-19 and the gunpod is mounted straight and landing gear is ok... still not as tight as the new 1/60 VF-1's... the usual floppiness between transformations but pretty stable in its different modes. but i'm not sure what HLJ has...
  17. saw that... didn't buy it though, it's about twice or three times the size of the gasha...
  18. well, i just transformed it and it certainly looks like the hinge is the same except for the color... but looking at the hinge and looking at how the pin is inserted (not like on my 1S where the spur end has some seam lines on the plastic as if the pin was forced), at least for me, it seems that its sturdier on the 1J. i know it just maybe psychological on my part but it really does seem fixed... i know only Yamato can really answer this but i doubt they will admit that they screwed up with the first batch of 1S's. looking at my 1J, my 1S will stay in battroid forever w/ shoulders intact, coz it seems to me that the breakage occurs when being transformed back to fighter, i think while tucking it in under the swing bar, coz i think if the pin was indeed inserted incorrectly the stress it takes when the two pieces of plastic are pressed together is what's breaking it. just my opinion... the 1J looks great... i think i'm going to put on it's FPs now... BTW, i did loosen the shoulders coz they're on pretty tight!
  19. got my 1J a couple of days ago but only inspected it... got it from hk and haven't had time to play w/ it. (btw, OT, but i gotta say, i think every macross or toy collector in general should get the chance to go toy hunting/shopping in hk, it's absolutely awesome... very tiring, but awesome! the savings alone will cover part if not the whole cost of your plane ticket, and you get to visit a very cool place for tourists.) ...i removed the head and saw that the spur end of the shoulder hinge pin is on the same side for both shoulders (not sure about the 1A coz i don't have it). if the breakages are isolated for the focker 1S i think its because of the previously mentioned incorrectly inserted hinge pin... maybe the first batch of hinges that Yamato got were defective but got installed on the 1S just the same (BAD Yamato!)... if that's the case, then it is a QC thing. i agree that the design is weaker than the 1/48's but it should be stable enough provided the hinge pin is correctly inserted. will transform later to confirm but i think in battroid the spur end should be on the bottom.
  20. so, does the breakage/fracture/crack happen while posing or transforming??? i myself haven't transformed my 1S back to fighter ever since this shoulder hinge thing started happening...
  21. i think he's talking about this : "Yamato 1/60 Version 2.0 Roy Fokker VF-1S...best money I've spent yet! If you're sitting there thinking "I don't need the new 1/60's, my 1/48's are better!", you're dead wrong" ...on his sig...
