Got my first Bandai HM-R Scopedog yesterday, must admit it's quite nice but I wish the tray hade a place for all the little panels you have to remove! But like the feel and weight of it! although its quite small... now waiting for the next one. 🤗

Instructions are up for HI-METAL R SCOPEDOG TURBO CUSTAM so release is immanent... I'm getting my first Hi-Metal R Scopedog tomorrow and have preordered the other two! Hope I'm not disappointed...🤗

@jenius Ok thanks! I guess they want to do more bigger and better things, But since the still completed the Vermilion Platoon they haven't dropped the S.D.F.M HM-R line yet!

So I take it that there are only two other destroys that Bandai released in HM-R ADR-04-MKX Destroyed Defender & MBR-07-MKII Destroyed Spartan with the SDR-04 Destroyed Phalanx & MBR-04 Destroyed Tomahawk still outstanding? wonder what's the hold up?

@Shawn Thanks for the pictures! When I first started collecting the 1:55 Takatoku's, I always was looking to get the VF1D. Since some of my 1:55 had a small rollup catalog showing the VF-1D as an upcoming release. So I think this might be an early prototype if it isn't a self made mockup!? It's kind of sad that the VF-1D never got released in 1:55 since it's one of the most prominent Valk's in the first two episodes...

First Welcome to our forum! Sad that you're Ostrich was delivered with a broken tail fin, You might in the future use Mandrake in Japan since they check the model before it goes out! But it would probably be best to glue the tail fin.... If you are not used to doing this, I'm sure there there is a model group somewhere around you that can help! But like Anne says "Don't fall into the depth of despair" 🥵

Ah, @Shawn Having a bad weekend? 😂 I can understand somewhat about the size of the tail-fin, but honestly the DX version isn't all that bad! the wing lights would have been nice to mach the other Valk's... But what really bugs me about this Bird is that the went ahead and did the mold for the "Mech-guts" version and then just left it unpainted!? like WTF!? Although I did see that someone on FB did paint it, sadly I don't us FB so I wasn't able to download the pic... Ok found it picture from Atto Kempler FB account...

Yes, would be great getting all someday.... But I want all of these in 1:48 and these in Highmetal-R 🤪 And a Splatoon of Scopedogs to make it look good! 🤣

Thanks! I saw that @jenius reviewed some Takara's a couple of month ago which where the ones I had when I was younger.... Maybe he'll get some HM'R and let us know how they are!?

Since I hade some Scope Dogs when I was younger, I was wandering how good are the Hi-MetalR versions from Bandai? Are they worth collecting or is there something better out there?

Bandai 2002 Chunky Monkey reissue there where 7 different versions released between 2002/4 The one on the left is an old Takatoku/Bandai and the one on the right is the rerelease....

So a question for those like me hoping for a VF-1A or J Mass Production version, Would you prefer the lighter or darker version of this bird? The series wasn't very colour consistent back then, with pictures of darker or lighter brown versions... Since the original 1/55 Chunky Monkey was pretty dark, the High Metal R is light in comparison I do hope they do the Brown Thrusters/Feet on the DX version when they release it! What are you're thoughts on this?
