  1. Just wondering since I bought one there and haven't heard about it since. - Nghia
  2. Sean will appreciate this I am sure as its so hard to find Yoshiyuki Takani's wonderful art. This isn't technically a toy but it fits well into the category with my all time favorite box artist. ( ) HTTP://zion.cnmsl.ne...ani_gallery.htm - Nghia Wow, this site has all flavors of crazy... http://zion.cnmsl.net/old/SRW/SRW.htm - Nghia
  3. So I'm watching the OG series again and man, I have to say that its a pretty somber and fairly realistic war story. I guess since I haven't watched the series in years my impression has been rewritten by DYRL which was much more of an idealistic romance. Seeing it as a kid made me go wow over the mechs, but now seeing it as an adult its such a rich story about people dealing with personal loss. - Nghia
  4. Sorry for the belated Happy Birthday to Macross. But I am finally getting around to it after a busy week. I'm celebrating by watching the OG series front to back over the next 2 weeks! I have to say I haven't watched it in a very long time and am really surprised that its as complex and thought as it is. I guess that's why its lasted for 30 years. Here's to 30 more!!! - Nghia
  5. Boooooyeah!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.amiami.co...0%24pagecnt%3D1 Yamato rules except for when they suck! - Nghia
  6. Yay, got 2 in the pipe!!!!! Now for the VE-1 rerelease! Maybe Yamato really is listening to the fans and keeping the flow of wanted items going. - Nghia
  7. That's why it would be great if they started rereleasing them as kits like the current unpainted sprued valks. That would be cheaper for them all around and would fill a market still in demand. And to add to that some VE-1 and VT-1 full armored kits would be awesome as well. - Nghia
  8. Man, that's a real bummer. I hope they think about releasing them again for the 30th anniversary. I can't bring myself to pay more than $75 - $100 for something like armor. Releasing fastpacks and kits for 2 seaters for me are no brainers to me. Or hell maybe they should make kits of fastpacks. - Nghia
  9. I know it sounds like a dumb question but for some reason I can't remember if they ever did make a separate set as I can't find anyone who lists it these days. Any help on either answering the question or helping me locate some would be greatly appreciated. - Nghia
  10. They have software that can fix all that stuff these days. And I do believe that remastering means restoring. - Nghia
  11. Well guys I just got my BD and watched it front to back. The edits are annoying as I liked them the way they were because those small snippets of gore are a sign of the 80's sensibility. It was kind of prevalent in the Megazone 23 and BGC series and was just part of the styling back then. It was a shame to lose them even if its just a case of losing a bit of history. The rest of DYRL though bugs the hell out of me for technical reasons. Man, you'd think that if you're gonna' remaster something like Macross: DYRL that it would have at least looked more professional. The disparaging differences in image quality from shot to shot it just awful. There are some shots that are as clear as day and you might mistake looking at them as the actual cells, but most other shots were grainy as hell and still others looked like a bootleg VHS frame from the 80's. The game sucks too. But all the other stuff was cool. Just my personal take. - Nghia
  12. So what if Yamato reissued the VT-1 and VE-1 as kits would anyone go for them? Might be a way to afford-ably reissue that's low risk for them. If they can save a buck for me in the process I'd get a crate of them. - Nghia
  13. So are these things sold out for good then? (O_o) I was hoping for a non-preorder listing at some point. - Nghia
  14. Man, why does Macross hate me? I've been pretty @$$ed out on the last 6 big ticket items for preorder. It seems like people are driving up demands through ebay flipping or suppliers aren't stocking enough lately. My friend Kye tells me that there are a bunch of flippers in China these days buying out entire orders just to resell on auction sites. Life sucks sometimes.   - Nghia BTW, how did you guys get through Amazon.jp? They just told me that I couldn't ship to my address but the reasons why were in Japanese so I couldn't figure it out even with Babblefish.
  15. You know, I wouldn't mind it if Yamato started putting out kit versions of every Valk that came out through production. That would be super awesome to be able to get any version for customizing in the future. Just think of these guys being in production for the next 20 years or so. Manufacturing would be much cheaper and I wouldn't mind having the chance to build these guys to personal specs. I also wonder how much of a price difference it would be if they molded them in high impact nylon. - Nghia
  16. They have everything from high gloss to matte. Its for everything from military to pimped out competition shooting. - Nghia
  17. Things I do know are that they are made for airbrushes, so that means you can mix them, and they also bond to plastic as they can be applied to stocks and grips. The sample I've seen in the store looks like the paint shrinks down to a pretty thin yet opaque consistency and is hard as nails on all the surfaces. As for using other types paints on it I think that you might be out of luck as its made to repel just about everything. - Nghia
  18. So a friend of mine turned me on to this brand of paints that's made for field weapons and is rated to be super resilient to scratches. I am considering using this for transforming toys as it is completely permanent and even sticks to steel. Let me know what you guys think. http://www.houtsente....net/index.html Most of your DYRL colors here... http://www.houtsenterprises.net/dur_bloomberg.html - Nghia
  19. I hope you're right. The recession put me at some serious collection holes and I need to replenish now that I'm back in the game. Please let us know if you hear anything Graham. Their are a bunch of things that I still need to stock up on. - Nghia
  20. OK got it running. Now I'll see if I can figure out how to actually play it. - Nghia
  21. Hey guys, just received my machine in the mail today and was wondering if anyone knows how to get it going? Or at least where to go on-line to figure it out. This is my first experience with one of these things and there seems to be no instruction manual or clearly marked labels. So if anyone can help out it'll be greatly appreciated. - Nghia
  22. Man, wish someone would make this black variant of the Palanx. http://macross.e-mon...ii-phalanx.html
  23. I agree Graham. But as it stands, this machine is the only thing containing such awesome so it must join my warehouse of Macross goods. I wish they just remade the entire original series with all new art. - Nghia My machine comes in at the end of November so I'll take you up on the offer and hit you up when it comes in. - Nghia
