  1. Ive never seen any of the transporter films, but looking from the previews it looks like it doesn't have much of a plot and doesn't even appear to have some humor in it. That being the case the series is not worth my time, might as well watch john cenas The Marine movie. At least I can get some laughs off of that movie the way it tries to take itself seriously.
  2. Thats why theres always easy mode for ppl that dont have alot of time on their hands or cant be bothered with the difficulty. Luckily NG2's difficulty has been toned down a bit so that the casual gamer can run through it with a moderate degree of challenge.

    VF-OS or VF-0A

Thats the cons of domestic sellers though all too often they are out of stock fast and then you have to wait two or three months to get the next restock... oh well cant have everything I guess.
  4. Well thats the point of ninja gaidens challenge my friend. good ol trial and error especially on the bosses. When I played black it pissed me off so much having to fight a boss over again but I learned and mastered the game and was able to beat every boss easy after that.

    VF-OS or VF-0A

Yeah but you have to remember shipping costs too... HLJ will rape you with shipping even with SAL most of the time because of the distance japan is from everywhere else. Thats why HLJ marks down their prices because otherwise they couldn't compete with a US or domestic seller.
  6. I see what you mean as it is a scary toy to transform especially for the first time but most of the parts on the toy disengage when too much force is applied to fit something in. The biggest flaw I see yet in the toy is that it takes too much force to lock everything down when transforming and all too often I found myself having to refit or readjust things so that they fit and lock in perfectly because they'll slip out of place when I try to fit another part of the toy together, if I have to put alot of force on a peg to fit in properly it should at least hold solid even with some pressure but it doesn't... Its just a bit too complicated IMO. Theres too many things to lock in at once and transformation is a pain in the @$$ I still like it though because its the only perfect tranforimg yf-21 ill probly ever get.

    VF-OS or VF-0A

I guess im one of the lucky few that got a perfect 1st generation vf-0s. Ive transformed it twice now and nothing has broken off yet but the elbow joint connection is a little loose and pops off if I rotate the arm too much other than that its fine. I really wanted to get a vf-0a shin though but since im hearing all these bad things about it I think ill steer clear of it for now.
  8. I have some of the newer ones and they tend to stay together alot better than the old releases. The zeonography line of fix though is much more durable than any GFF ive messed around with. The parts snap on and stay like glue, they can also do some extreme poses as well awesome figures IMO, at least the newer ones are ne way.
  9. LOL were in the anime and science fiction thread dude we can talk about anything not related to macross here if you hadnt noticed. Back on topic please.
  10. The one thing that ruins potential creativity in a company... its always comes down to money or lack thereof. Oh well I hope Itagaki can continue to make great games after this fiasco even if it isnt DOA or Ninja Gaiden ne more. I also hope he wins the case.
  11. You see comickaze most ppl on these boards are elitists when it comes to toys and collectibles and expect everything to be made out of abs like their beloved valks. Like the quote above me for example. All the toys that are made out there with abs usually cost a fortune and thats why valks are so expensive. The appeal of the GFF figures though is that they're made from a reliable company like bandai and they are more affordable to the average collector, also bandai has a much better track record then say... yamato (dont get me started on them). It shouldnt matter what material they are made out of as long as its durable and is of good quality.
  12. Why bother selling it like that if your not gonna take the effort to fix it? just because ppl here say it can be replaced doesnt mean it can... If you havent even tried to fix it there no point in trying to sell it except maybe for spare parts no offense macross man.
  13. Hello I was just curious as to what the grey pods were exactly that fit on the wings of the vf-0a/s heres a pic can somebody tell me what they are and well as the beige parts?
  14. I have the same problem... as I cannot read japanese I was struggling getting the cowl to sit properly when transforming into batroid, It looks like you have to pull back the cowl first before raising it up so that the seat area can flip upright and that the neck joint can pop out and extend for neck poseability. Just a warining be very careful and dont apply too much force on that area if after some effort it doesnt budge, this is the only area that can break permanently so be careful.
  15. I got my yf-21 from HLJ earlier today and I have to say it is one of the most amazing transforming valks ive ever seen! But it is also the most complicated and nerve wracking transforming toy ever made IMO. The fighter mode is really solid and stays together nicely. Also the gerwalk mode is the most stable gerwalk mode out of all the other yammie valks out there. Battloid mode is also really tight and durable and things lock in and snap nicely. I totally disagree with the ppl saying that battloid mode is somewhat floppy, it only comes apart if you really p[ut alot of stress on the toy, other than that its near perfect IMO. Ill post some pics later of it in battloid mode only because this thing is really annoying and difficult to transform.
  16. I just ordered an sv-51 nora from toy wave and I accidentally chose "normal" packing for my order rather than box but it was too late to cancel my order as it was being processed. I also received the sv-51 nora today along with the yf-21 today. I first checked the packing he did with my sv-51 and although im not happy it wasnt a box my toy seems to be in brand new condition with no problems... not even the box is dented. But I did get a good price even with all the added sales tax, shipping, paypal fees and so forth. The sv-51 was on sale for 135 at toy wave and with all the added fees it ended up being 176.00 US dolars, which is still pretty good compared to the asking price on most websites for at least 200 or 220 at the most. I still saved 40 dollars so its a good dea l if you look at it that way.
  17. I highly doubt it... theses alot of toy lines on bandai's tamashii website that arent internationally distributed, such as the GFF line SOC line and so forth.
  18. dude it could be worse you could be paying in yen or HK money which is even less then what the american dollar can buy right now you know.
  19. This just shows yamatos running out of ideas on new molds... I was never crazy about any of the destroids except for the koenig monster which I have yet to pickup but will someday. Oh well now that yamato is officially doomed since they cant make any macross frontier valks I can tell theyre squeezing every bit out of the franchise right now... I still like yamato as a company though. They have always made the best and highest quality valks out there... that is until we all see what bandai can do then who knows... Maybe the entire macross toy license will go to bandai soon if they get the vf-25 right... Oh well at least we wont have to worry about constant flaws in our first releases now would we?
  20. Of the few episodes I saw of V I get kinda the same feeling... I did hear though that the production of V gundam was made during a time of severe depression for tomino and that he was sick of making gundam shows at this point and wanted to move onto something else. It kinda makes sense since it seems to be reflected in the tone of the show and how many characters end up dead by the end of the series seems to be evidence of that.
  21. Nah chars counterattack can be watched on its own and you can still pretty much get the gist of the plot and what has happened as long as you know the basic history of char and a little bit about zeon and its ideologies. I saw zeta beforehand and I have to say after watching the series in chronological order chars counterattacks really can stand on its own plot. It takes place about 4 years after zeta and in between that time the ZZ series doesnt really tell you what happened with char let alone focus on any plot realated to the movie at all...
  22. Paying for HD cable seems like a scam to me... if most channels image quality is almost that of regular cable then why bother? In fact my roomate has HD cable and on his tv I can see alot of graininess on most channels that claim to be hd. It looks really bad IMO.
  23. Wow that garland really is big! I didn't think it would be that big! Then again I should have known it would be this size if it was a 1/15 scale. Makes me want one even more!
  24. I have to agree with most of the ppl on this thread that zeta is one of the best in the series. I want to see V gundam though... thats the only U.C series I havn't seen. I don't think I can stomach anymore gundam though.
  25. i know dude hlj is on the ball right now just after I sent payment I got an email for processing like a second later lol
