  1. LMFAO thats got to be the funniest thing ive ever seen on the net regarding this issue. I really dont care what system ffXIII is on but im tired of sony fanboys saying that theyre system is superior to the xbox 360 because its japanese... LOL when has a peice of hardware claimed ethnicity...
  2. Well the VF-25 does have metal in it so its gonna be a bit heavier, not sure by how much though.
  3. Wow I really like the new box art and the smaller boxes. It looks so much more polished. and ill have more space to store the boxes in my room too heh.
  4. Ive been wanting to see this anime for a long time. Im a big fan of 80's sci fi anime. Keep up the good work!
  5. Hmm wow this looks like a total clone of macross... can't kawamori come up with anything non-macross thats actually good? Because aquarion wasn't that good. I think ill have to stay away from this... Ill add this to the list of hundreds of series out there not to watch...
  6. HAHA look at the trailer for FF 13 and this official announcement from square! PS3 is now finished! http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/14/new-fina...laims-ps3-only/
  7. Hmm well I just got my proto garland figure in the mail today and look! See the pics for yourself! I guess they're adding riders to the proto garland as well!
  8. ok who really cares whats on the credits of a game ne way and who stole what from anyone else? Everybody copies off of each other when it comes to ideas in literature, multi media and otherwise.
  9. I just hope you have a killer PC to run it on... this game is very graphically intensive... its on par with GOW graphics so be prepared. I played through the console version and I liked it alot... one of the more unique games out there.
  10. And the point of this topic is?
  11. LOL what made you think transformers had any profound underlying plot in the first place? Transformers always had a very miniscule plot... always has and always will. Its just a series to sell toys really but I don't mind that because I don't watch transformers for the plot. I see it for the action and special effects more than anything else. I really couldn't care less about a good underlying plot line for this movie. All I care about is that if it does go through with production, that it is accurate to the original macross and has good special effects and action. Unfortunately though I don't think thats going to happen with this movie.
  12. I know what your saying but the design really hasn't stood the test of time... I have an old VF-1 chunky monkey and that IMO still looks way better than the old 1/60 yamato valk.
  13. The beige parts in the box are extra wings for the front of the yf-19, The grey peices that come in the box are for the official yamato display stands which are sold seperately.
  14. Bigbadtoystore.com has the aquarion SOC for sale for $214.00 U.S.
  15. Id get the alto variant as I like the red color and the head better. I might get an ozma if it includes the armor parts later on though.
  16. I think I might get an aquarion SOC soon... Im gonna have to watch the series first and see how much I like the actual mech, then ill make up my mind.
  17. I recently found out about media player classic and its the only media codec I use right now... My macross frontier lunar anime subs werent working right on vlc so I tried media player classic and they worked perfectly.
  18. Wow I have to say after getting my hands on an old 1/60 yammie valk. I have to say yamato has come a long way so far... Im surprised at how bad the original 1/60 vf-1 was compared to this version and what we have now lol. The plastic on the old yammie vf-1 was yellowed and it wasnt even exposed to UV light from the sun or anything... Also the sculpt by comparison was really terrible and low in detail compared to whats out now and although there was more metal on the toy, it just felt very cheaply made and not thought out overall. Im surprised this company made it this far after looking at the old VF-1 valk... This shows that yamato does listen to its customers and has improved greatly ever since. Good job yamato!
  19. I see what you mean gubaba but I do enjoy the extra cultural and definitve insight the subs add to any series. It gives you a better idea of what characters are talking about or refering to. Even if it is a minor or trivial detail I think its good to know. I cant tell you how many times mecha anime in particular refer to things that I have no idea about or go "huh?! What were they talking about?" as regards to the technical jargon in the series or they refer to some strange made up phenomenon in the series... the added details clear things up and help you better understand the small details in the series. As much as I like these details though id rather have the latest frontier episodes come to me sooner rather than later and I would be willing to forgo any small details not explained in the subtitles if that means ill get the latest episode in a series that much sooner.
  20. As long as the background music lyrics are shown in on another part of the screen while the speech from the actual characters of the show is put on the spotlight I think its fine. Ive only seen the lunar anime fansubs for macross F and while there are alot of parts where music is playing while there is an important story part they seem to do a pretty good job at placing the subtitles and highlighting the important words where nothing gets in the way. I dont really trust other fansubs of macross F at the moment, id rather wait a week or two for a quality sub than get a rushed sub of the latest episode out there only to have it appear out of context compared to what im used to.
  21. All this complaining and the production model isnt even finished yet... They still got at least until mid october to finalize everything and get the toy into production im sure bandai will tweak things in the coming months. Have some faith ppl!
  22. Im just happy having one of each type of yamato valk... I dont really care for collecting all of the variants. Even my small collection valks with accesories cost's about 1000 USD. I've slowed down with my purchasing though, I wont be buying anything else for awhile, at least until the bandai vf-25 toys come out and maybe one 1/60 v2 yamato valk.
  23. Wow thats probably more valks than I can ever dream of having anytime soon. Nice collection.
  24. From what I see I think its still possible to make all the changes to the toy that was shown in the PS pics. All they really have to do is shorten the swingbar on the toy and add a few moving joints to the bar so that it cant be maneuvered and locked into place where legs are supposed to lock to the hip in battloid mode. To keep the legs from being constrained from movement on the top portion they would have to make an extended bar piece. The visor and antena's can also be altered easily... all they need to do in make a new headsulpt.
