The legs I borrowed off my 1S as they aren't finished yet. And I think I will stick to the plugs rather than putty for the backpack as that hinge that connects the backpack to the main body need to be coated heavily with primer and dullcoat as the paint will wear quickly from rubbing.

hehe, I was wondering what people would think of the skull & crossbones instead of the macross flag! I was bored with doing the same design over and over again, so I tried to make this one as different as possible. Goonk - don't worry, I still have the little 'plugs' that go in those holes. I just haven't painted them yet.

And the chick had this really big hair afro! And even bigger shoulder pads. I loved that show.

Thanks! Monkey - yep, I'm gonna do the panel lines with a mechanical pencil so they are a subtle grey rather than black. Sebastian - I am leaving the whole arm grey, but I am thinking of doing the 'triangles' on the shoulders red, or maybe a decal? I might just try your idea for a grey canopy trim!

Hi, here's my latest custom which is 2/3 finished! I have a lot of friends and family staying over the next month so I won't get much time to finish it so I got impatient and posted a few pics now. This is the idea I was talking about in a recent thread which is here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...t=ST&f=4&t=2876 Anyway, here are some quick pics! I am thinking about changing the nose tip, like make the grey part bigger or making the whole nose blue, so any suggestions are welcome! The legs when finished will be the same style as a cannon fodder - in this case grey with the sides blue. The tail fins are getting jolly roger flag decals too. I was pretty happy with how painting the fuselage shape turned out - ie, making it all blue to stand out from the chest plate and wind brake hatch thingie.

I bought that 1/6 Hicks and Alien box set - Hicks ain't bad but the alien figure really stinks. MY favourite Aliens toy merchandise is still the Action Fleet vehicles. MY Dropship was hard won on ebay!

LOL! XXX Macross! This must be the first ever Hentai robot! Sebastian, you just gave me a great idea.. I'm still not 100% how I want it to look... I'm doing something really rough on photoshop to get a better idea. Oh, and that pic of the parts - I laid them out nice and neat to spray them! I wouldn't spray them like they are in the pic! Rob - I'm going to use grey and blue with some black trim. I'm thinking of experimenting with stripes on the arms and legs like the dryl schemes, and a cannon fodder scheme for the chestplate, wings and tail fins. Datt - I took out all the screw then used a small screwdriver to pry out the nosecone. I gradually applied pressure until it popped out. I know what you mean.. I thought I was going to break it!

OK, a couple of weeks ago I promised I would post some pics of a 1/60 I put back together after I stripped the paint off. there are a few guys that will probably laugh when they see this! - http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...t=ST&f=4&t=2598 Anyways, here they are! Also, the last pic is the first coat of paint I applied. I need an opinion on the scheme - I'm gonna paint the middle strip of the wing blue (like a cannon fodder desgin), and I am thinking of being a bit different and painting the nose blue as well, leaving the end grey (not the tip end). What do you think it would look like if I did that? here it is 5 minutes later.. ...and 10 minutes after that.

good god! How picky are some of you guys? I think you're all just jealous. I have to be the minority vote, but I love the metallic blue max. Whenever I See something new/different I really notice it! And the GBP.. wow.
