  1. holy smokes! hereby declare all of my money this year will be going to yamato ver2 1/60 vf-1 range and bandai frontier 1/72 model kits only. oh yeah and maybe a leader class ROTF optimus prime damn, owning a vf-1a TV max and a vf-1a DYRL max actually makes sense now cos of that head mod i'm going to be sooo broke this year
  2. SDK, i fully agree with you! Man, Kakizaki and even Roy really did not deserve the DYRL treatment they got... And who knows what treatment Mikhail, Luca, Ozma and will get in the upcoming frontier movie version...
  3. And the only thing left for us to do, is to buy some other TV VF-1 release (maybe some custom scheme or canon fodder) and paint the TV pilot fig into Roy's TV uniform, and insert him into our DYRL VF-1S Roy Valk!!! (and of course, put the DYRL VF-1S roy pilot somewhere else, and if ur really hardworking, paint the battroid head arrows to black ) We are all moving closer to our dreams of owning all TV valks!
  4. dude, ur battroid mode is seriously mistransformed: as already mentioned earlier: 1. the chest ( yeah u said u know, but u really need to fold it further down and it will hold reasonably well) 2. leg fins not folded back 3. ankles not extended and 4. --> the hip bar isnt swung down
  5. i agree with what genius said.. the odds are much better than 50/50 come on guys honestly i cant believe people are still bitching about the 1/60 ver2 vf-1 shoulders until today.
  6. awesome new pic of the vf-1d! makes getting the vf-1d even more worth it i am so glad that i am so over the bandai chogokin vf-25 hype, now i have more $$ for tomatoes... i mean yamatoes
  7. i am one of those who sold off my 1/48 already for my 1/60 vf-1 collection no turning back for me the biggest obstacle for me was that the 1/48 battroid beats the 1/60 hands down because of the size, but then i realized that by using display stands for battroid form, u can make ur 1/60 battroids even more imposing than the 1/48s could ever be. thanks to the display stand, the battroid can achieve greater height and dynamics too as for fighter and gerwalk, the 1/60 looks waaay better to me IMHO
  8. even alto only flew 2 kinds of valks (vf-25f and vf-171ex) i definitely wont buy all of hikaru's valks, if i could choose again, i'd still choose his TV 1J over the DYRL 1S, 1A and his noob TV 1D i need the money for other pilots
  9. Haha ok SDK yeah i was talking about the 1j vermilion, i dont have the hikaru 1s and yeah, hikaru is getting too much love, we need valks or other pilots asap. bring on the max and miria yamato!
  10. SDK, i am sure the 1j shoulder hinges material for my Roy and Hikaru are the same. They are definitely not ABS, and i am quite sure it is the same material used for the fast packs. they have good flexibility and will not break so easily. Anyway, i thought we were already agreed that the shoulder hinge crack was due to the screw going in the wrong way??? Its nothing to do with the material at all. i highly doubt yamato will change the material. it may very well have already been POM in the first place, just the screw going in the wrong way caused all those reported breakages. Do yourself a favor and get the vf-1j... i am sure you will enjoy it
  11. then i'll have to say this: the division making the model kit vf-25 are much more competent than the division making the toy vf-25... grrr....
  12. i'm definitely one of the people who'd be very glad hearing that the vf-0 is actually later in the time line than the vf-1 once and for all
  13. well, i for one am very glad i did not skip my vf-1s and vf-1j... ok you can keep on waiting until the complaints stop, and i'll keep on playing with my valks until their shoulders pop off
  14. this thread is screwed up big time. mods please lock already.
  15. no swivel joint on the legs of the chogokin... none at all below or above the knee??? this really kills it for me... so dissappointing that bandai could make a mistake like this with the chogokin. this joint is essential for a good GERWALK A-stance as well as battroid mode posability. i how the legs are partially dislocated from the fighters main body in GERWALK just to achieve a meh A-stance. bandai really screwed up here. i din even mind about the vf-25s that doesnt have a neck. or that the vf-25s visor is a paint and not translucent plastic. or the wimpy bendy head lasers of the vf-25s. or the cockpit exposed as the butt of the battroid. (seems bandai really screwed up with the vf-25s, i hope not for the vf-25f and vf-25g) seems the model kit beat the chogokin in every way except for size and playability initially i was going to buy a good few of those vf-25 chogokins, but now i might only be buying mikhail
  16. i had a closer look at my vf-1j and vf-1s roy pilots, the TV type pilot (hikaru 1j type) has the neck swivel, but the DYRL type pilot (roy 1s type) definitely doesnt!! All the more reason for me to concentrate on the TV valks! even though i may probably still impulsively get the vf-1s hikaru at the end of the day
  17. simply superb that the defender comes with different crew/people! now, i have no reason not to collect destroids, which by themselves are already awesome, the people/ground crew are an excellent added bonus, offering endless diorama fun and possibilities! WAY TO GO YAMATO!!!
  18. i totally agree! here's what i posted in the max vf-1s thread, pasted it here cos i think its totally relevant after quite some thought, i finally decided i wont be getting this max vf-1s. (damn... thinking so much about it even though its still months before its release) reason is that i only want roy to bear the skull markings (and strike canon) in my vf-1 collection... this would give him the awesomeness and respect he deserves. for hikaru and max, they already have very excellent representations of them in their respective 1J valks. for hikaru certainly GBP armor, and i just cant justify getting duplicate roy colour schemes with just a different blue/red/yellow lining... with the money we are paying for these valks, it would make more sense to me to get valks in diff colors, say like vf-1d orange, max vf-1j blue, miria vf-1j red, max 1a white/blue, kakizaki 1a white/green, CF 1a brown, perhaps stealth 1j, dark birds 1a *fingers crossed* i already have roy's S&S vf-1s, and hikaru's super vf-1j i'll certainly get the vf-1d. bring on the TV valks yamato! *hopes canon fodder brownie wont be an exclusive too this time round* hence, the vf-1s max will have no part in my collection js my 2 cents

  20. i can see why we all debate about the VF-0 or SV-51 transition to VF-1 so much.... i just wished that the VF-0 and SV-51 designs appeared in a story timeline AFTER SDF/DYRL. That would have pretty much ended all debates in this thread. reason is VF-0 and SV-51 looks and are more modern than the VF-1 no matter how hard they try to justify it. "VF-1 has smaller size... better thrust to weight ratio..." yada yada its enough already. even my grandma says VF-0 is more modern looking than VF-1.
  21. gosh sorry for my noobiness yeah ruskii, i would appreciate very much if you could show a good pose with the sv-51, perhaps on the display stand. i did hav a sv-51 ivanov and nora, but sold them off cos i could not find any love for the battroid mode. i know the wings offer quite some options in battroid mode, but its the limbs that are very limited. also no denying gerwalk is awesome ok lets end this asap as this is supposed to be a VF-11B thread
  22. i have to disagree here... can u show us how you pose your sv-51? as far as i am concerned, i feel the SV-51 battroid posabilty is below par. especially the arms have very limited articulation...
  23. now people will have another good reason to pick up a miria quad rau as well! hehehe i am glad this max doesnt come with fast packs... makes the thing a whole lot more attractive funny that in my country, non of the 1/60 vf-1 ver2 valks sans fast packs can be found
  24. Oh my... fast packs to be sold separately. Damn just when i was about to say i wont be getting anymore model kits :S now i am sure to continue with the fast packs anyway here's what i wanted to post initially: Finally finished my VF-25S model kit, phew! took me the whole weekend!!! this was my first model kit ever, i never touched any gundams before. very satisfied with the model kit, its holds reasonably stable in all 3 modes, best mode has to be the battroid mode though. simply love the transformation scheme of the VF-25. for this kind of price range, the kind of line art accuracy that you get and the stunning beauty of it, makes this piece highly recommended!!! however, i dun think i will getting more model kits for myself in the future... they take too much time to assemble and make them look good enough eagerly awaiting the release of the chogokins!!! on with the pics:
  25. I too prefer the 0A headstyle. on top of that, the articulation of the 0A head is much better than the 0S head. this is bcos of the chin to neck clearance, where the 0S has very little clearance even after pulling the head to extend the neck. thus the 0S head is unable to do the "looking down" pose i'm sure there're plenty here who would have wished their 0S head could "look down"
