  1. it took me longer to decal a single ghost (both top and bottom), than to complete build the luca valkyrie with panel lines and stickers. its a real bummer. up till today, i hav only managed to finish 2 ghosts
  2. first of all, welcome to macross world. yes, people at macross world have noticed the VF-1 head being a little too high up since a long long time ago.. believe me, everyone here has beaten it to death anyway, how much do you think yamato would price the VT-1? (with super parts bundled in of course) since i dont think the VT-1 would come with a gunpod and neither any missles at all, it is highly possible that the price would be close to the price of a non-bundled (no super/strike parts) VF-1
  3. yup exactly. the vf-0 although being a terrible chapter in yamato's past, it was never short of praise in terms of beauty. but i do hope u manage to fix ur DX hip joint with that nail polish. let us know the results once ur done...
  4. yup exactly, i mean since both minmei and misa were seen wearing the orange flight suit, i was wondering why people were jumping to the conclusion its minmei. even kaifun wore it too. i do hope it will be a more feminine sculpt. one of the biggest disappointments of the 1/48 was the "male" miria pilot figure. that was total laziness on yamto's part
  5. sorry for sounding ignorant, but... how do u guys know its minmei and not misa? i really prefer the VT-1 without the fast packs, looks sleek!
  6. in my opinion, yamato did a really good job with their latest 1/60 ver2 vf-1, and thats why its still selling amidst the frontier craze. the sdf/DYRL animes are even 25++ years old. if it was the other way round with yamato doing the 1/60 vf-25 and bandai doing the 1/60 vf-1, bandai wouldnt stand half a chance to sell their vf-1. however the 1/72 vf-25 model kit is so awesome, it feels like 2 different companies made the DX and the model kit.
  7. no doubt he is a first class anime mecha designer, ...but is he new to toy design?
  8. yup, i want a black heat shield for hikaru's 1S too. in DYRL hikaru's heat shield is clearly black when he assasinates boldoza, and also when he tunrs around to report mission accomplished and he's heading home. but yeah, it was also seen as red while his 1S hovering beside misa's command centre, and the fast pack skulls are red as he flies into boldoza's lair... anyway its not like yamato didnt provide an extra heatshield skull sticker, and its easy as hell to paint the heat shield black ourselves.
  9. Oh my God, i truly respect your collection man! not only do you have an awesome collection, you even have the courage to take the time and pain to customize everything!!! (except only nora and ivanov?) you even have a TV max and kakizaki 1A waaaaay ahead of schedule your DIY weathering for ur tomahawk and defender OWNED yamato's releases... and that regult scheme on the Q-rau is simply the best!!! kudos man!!!
  10. true true.. my bad but judging from the exhibition pics of max's DYRL vf-1s/vf-1a, is it just me or is the blue used a bit too bright? a tad darker would have been cool...
  11. good observation on that, yes hikaru was still piloting a 1A and was commanded by max when the meltrans attacked earth. which means hikaru only got his 1S because/after (whichever way you want to put it ) max defected to the meltran group
  12. well i was thinking maybe alto would get his vf-25s even though ozma didnt die, getting a vf-25s is just an acknowledgement of his pilot skill, and not because ozma died
  13. Also, i think Alto might get his own VF-25S in the movie...
  14. and anyway, roys skull colors for strkie parts would be the correct color, cos by they both have the same black heatshield. i dont see any reason why you would go for blue skulls on max vf-1s (even if it may or not appeared blue in the game ur talking about)
  15. EXACTLY. i have already finished my luca valk, but its really taking me hella long time to decal my ghosts so far i have ONLY 1 out of 3 done. while at the same time, my luca RVF is already done and stickered up. really really takes alot of time...
  16. the sturdiness of your model kit really depends on how well you yourself built it i really do play alot with my model kit and they are all still fine, but no doubt you do need to really have a good idea of where the sturdy points and the fragile points of the model are. without super parts, i'd say the model is a pretty good toy. things change when you put on super parts on your model kit. although i have felt i have built my model reasonably well, but it still cannot achieve gerwalk mode with the super parts put on, the wing parts just fold down due to the weight. robot mode also needs support to be displayed to stand. transformation becomes a hassle and its better to treat it as a display piece. and hell it looks awesome with super parts. so thats why i now have alto in both super (for display) and non-super (for playing) versions so yeah i'd say the model kit is better off as a plain valk. i am eagerly waiting for a review on the DX luca/mikhail with super parts, to see if its really worth clunking my money for them i am guessing that the DX is designed to be more suited for super parts/armor pack, than just as a plain valk. we'll see...
  17. you mean those pics we saw are not the real, official, 1/72 vf-25s armor pack from bandai? they are just custom made by someone? if thats the case, i'm very glad... it really doesnt look very good/accurate cos so far the 1/72 vf-25 model kit has done the best job in terms of anime accuracy
  18. damn, if yamato were to produce Misa Hayase decals for the 1/60 vf-1 ver2, i'd be more than happy to buy it. bandai made sure alto got his sheryl and ranka decals. ozma got his cathy glass. yamato should follow this trend... no, i dont want minmay decals, but i dont deny that there's a good lot of ppl who do.
  19. yup, urs is the same as mine. this is what i am trying to point out, the sharp edge of your upper leg armor is exposed as highlighted: but if you notice the instructions carfelly, the sharp edge is supposed to be hidden inside the fast pack armor. i really cant find any way to make it look exactly like in the instructions diagram:
  20. while waiting for the vf-1s max, i'll take the chance to pick up a few more frontier model kits in the meantime
  21. omg that toy swapping is really bad... b4 the economy turned bad, i never thought twice about getting one or 2 of the higher end yamatos (the yf-19, sv-51, yf-21 gang), and could even forgive those vf-0 exploding shoulders. now i wont even consider them, the vf-11b incldued. the price is just too high i need to think 3 times before getting a 1/60 vf-1 ver 2.0, and 6 times before getting a destroid. and for macross frontier, i thank bandai so much for their great 1/72 vf-25 model kits that even outdo the DX vf-25 in many areas. these frontier model kits have really saved me from getting into financial trouble, and am still able to enjoy a beautiful vf-25 toy/model at the same time.
